Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

The deadline is 45 days and I looked for appointments a few times in the last two weeks but there was never anything available. The only appointments that are available cost £200pp (there are 3 of us) and are 3 hours away from us.
I was hoping something else would become available.

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi all,

I have received a notification from Home Office saying that we need to have made and attended our appointment within 30 days to enrol our biometric data.

The only appointment available is in 30 days time.

What happens if our application is rejected as invalid?

Hi,

Can someone please get back to me about this?

Re: Applying for British Citizenship soon

Hi,

So I have applied for our citizenship for myself, my husband and my daughter.

But its asking me to book an appointment now to go drop off documents but when I go to the calendar for the closest service centre there are no available slots?

What do I do now?

Re: Applying for British Citizenship soon

And then I did ask quite a while back on this thread what I need to write on my daughter's application under nationality. It was never really answered.

Do I write stateless since she was born here but we haven't registered her yet?

Re: Applying for British Citizenship soon

Ok, but my original question was:

Can I apply for her British Citizen Registration (MN1) with the same application as ours which is for UK Citizenship?

Re: Applying for British Citizenship soon

Yes but she needs a MN1 form so its a different application.

Will that still be fine?

Re: Applying for British Citizenship soon

Thank you. It looks like I might have lost my BRP. Am I going to have to apply for a new one before we apply for citizenship? And secondly, when we make the application to apply for citizenship should we apply for our daughter on the same application or do we need to apply for her separately because...

Re: Applying for British Citizenship soon

Thank you so much for the quick reply. For question 2, the additional proof that I've been living in the UK, I was made redundant from my job due to covid in March 2020. How can I prove that I have been living in the UK since then without a letter from an employer. Is it only letters from employers ...

Re: Applying for British Citizenship soon

Yes I know I asked the same questions to the CR001 because I have been dealing with her from the beginning so she knows the history and she also is the one that told me initially that I need to register my daughter as a British Citizen. I am also finding it difficult to understand your answers as yo...

Re: Applying for British Citizenship soon

Hi, I have a few questions please. 1. I have filled in all our forms to apply for Citizenship and its given me a list of document requirements. What does this one mean: "proof of freedom from immigration time restrictions" 2. My South African passport has expired in Sept 2018 and I haven't renewed i...

Re: MN1 Form Question

Hi,

No we didn't have ILR when my daughter was born but we do have ILR and BRP now.

I was told previously that we just needed to apply to register her and pay for that. Is that not the case?

Re: MN1 Form Question

Ok great, thank you.

So yes, I will fill it online.

Do you need to know anything else to answer my previous questions?

Also, do we need to get a passport photo for my daughter who is 2 to apply?

Re: Applying for British Citizenship soon

We are going to apply this week online.
What happens after we apply?
Do we have to post our documents in?
And if so, how long do we have to post our documents in?

Re: MN1 Form Question

Ok thank you. And then just two more questions: Question 1.9 asks for nationality. My daughter doesnt have a nationality yet, she was born here in the UK before we were naturalised. My husband and I are South African but she obviously isnt South African either. And then question 3.2, it says "during...

Hi, I am going to be applying to register our daughter who is 2.5 for British Citizenship soon. I was going through the form and I just wanted to ask about the referees. Applying for British Citizenship soon

Hi, My husband and I have been almost 2 years on ILR now and wanting to apply for British Citizenship. I filled out my forms quite a long time ago and got references that were dated in February I think. Will I need to get new references if we send them in now? What extra information do I need to supply if I started working self employed?

Just for the last 2 months I have been bringing in a small income from working online.
