I have the same issue, got approval in oct, sent the fee & photos in nov ,till now there is no certificates sent.
They have ignored my email as well. How the best way we should follow up then ?

In my case applying in 2018, it should be fine as long you attached the company letter explaining the work required to do abroad , and filling the absent out section in the form. mine was even longer than 11 months at the time.

I applied for my son (over 16) on July 2018. I Emailed the department a few times, I always got the same reply "your application is continu to process ". Does anyone has any idea? 2 days ago they sent an acknowledgment letter with application reference number and today they returned the original passport. Generally how much time they are taking for children Naturalisation? I applied 3rd week of June, and received the children passports back a month after . but there were no application numbers nor receipts.

3 weeks ago, i was traveling back with the family ( wife +kids both non-eu passport ) when i asked the officer whether they could use EU queue, he said ok.

I guess it's case per case basis + mood of the officer
