Re: Ancestry Visa Refusal in 14 Day grace period. Reapplying from abroad.

Thanks so much! Because we had sought legal advice from an immigration solicitor who said that if he gave proof it was work-based that would be fine. Then we sent all the documents through to a checking service, with the proof of all days offshore, and again this separate agency replied that he was ...

Re: Ancestry Visa Refusal in 14 Day grace period. Reapplying from abroad.

Hi, it’s quite frustrating that my newer posts are being lumped in with an old thread that nobody wants to answer! Is anyone able to help with my last several questions? We’ve been waiting for this visa for months now and both getting increasingly depressed!

Ancestry Visa Refusal in 14 Day grace period. Reapplying from abroad.

My husband has had ILR refused. We have applied for an extension of his ancestry visa in the 14 day grace period (he is here as an overstayer because his ILR was refused two days before his visa expired. There was a 6 week wait from when we booked his premium appointment). If this ancestry visa is ...

Hi, I’m the OPs sister, and this thread is about my husband. We’re both sitting here waiting for my husband’s visa to arrive (or not) so he can work. However I’m starting now to have some concerns about the ancestry visa! I wonder if anyone could help. Firstly I’d like to know how likely it is to com ...

Ancestry Visa waiting times and reasons for refusal

Hi there. It’s s long one, sorry! My husband is a South African National who has been in the UK on two successive ancestry visas for 8.5 of the last 10 years. We took legal advice last year as to whether he could apply for ILR, given that he works offshore. We were told in the first instance that t ...
