How to submit evidence when applying for BRC for Settled Status

Hi all I have received the email from Home Office on 13/04/2023 that my settled status has been GRANTED. I am applying for the BRC to prove that status so I can travel, the online status checking service on gov.uk is no use when travelling abroad. I have booked the appointment with UKVCAS but i'm so...

How to calculate permitted absence time before Settled Status lapses?

Hi all Settled Status allows the holder to spend 5 years outside the uk without losing the status, but this 5 years is not clearly defined so i would like some clarity please. If I spend 4.5 years outside, then 1 month inside UK, then another 4 years outside, will I lose the status? Does that 1 mont...

Re: Settled Status in 2 Days!!!! (NON - EU)

I cannot believe it! Here's my timeline and what I did. 1. Application made my application on Thursday morning (6/10), completed the identity check on the EU Exit App, and submitted docs. 2. Received the COA almost immediately 3. Received the outcome letter at 12:03 today (08/10). I was fully prepa...

Switching from Pre-settled status to Settled status as a family member

Hello all, I got married to a Romanian woman on 14/2/2018, my EEA Residence card was issued in May 2018, expiring May 2023. When the EU Settlement Scheme started, i applied and got Pre-settled status, issued on 24/08/2019, expiring on 24/08/2024. My question is, can I apply for Settle Status on 14/2...

Re: Travelling to EU with UK-issued EU Family Member Residence Card

Can't really advise on the ins and outs of this, but, are you ordinarily a visa-national for entering the EU? Perhaps this page could clarify: https://www.the3million.org.uk/travel-to-the-eu T3M is a pressure group working on behalf of EU citizens and their family members. Hi, yes, normally as a Vi...

Travelling to EU with UK-issued EU Family Member Residence Card

Hi all I am a non-EU citizen, living in the UK with my spouse (Romanian) since 2018. I have a Residence Card like this, issued by the UK in 2018, expiring in 2023. The card clearly states "family member - EU residence" and "Residence card of a fmaily member of a union citizen" https://www.vfsglobal....

EU Settled Status If Divorced?

Helo I am male, non EU. I married my wife in Feb 2018 in the UK and we have been living together in the UK ever since then. I used to hold an EU residence card but now have switched to EU pre settled status. My wife has Settled status. Our relationship is not going well at the moment and I anticipat...

Re: Non EU family member PR application

Exactly that. Only once I was asked about my RC. They immigration officer asked if it was in my old passport. I said yes and then gave it back to him. He looked at it, scanned it and gave both passports back to me. On the other occasions i decided i’d only give them my old passport if asked. No one...

Re: EEA Permanent Residence Application with a Criminal Record

Thanks a lot NikiGio, yeah i do know that my chance of getting British Citizenship is slim. However, regarding continuing to stay in the UK and Permanent Residence, let's say if I apply for Pre-Settled Status in December 2020 (December 2020 instead of June 2021 because the EU transition technically ...

Re: Residence card and the new Pre-settled status

I think you should just wait for the new pre-settled status to come into full effect and apply for it. Your Family Permit does indeed expire after 6 months, however it doesn't mean you become an overstayer. Your EU right of free movement is automatic and that family permit is just a piece of proof t...

Re: Non EU family member PR application

I was asked only once by airline crew, just before boarding, and I told them that i did not require any document to travel to the UK as I was married to EU citizen and living jn the UK. Lady started arguing and I told her she didn’t know the law. When arrived to the UK, I was told not to queue in N...

EEA Permanent Residence Application with a Criminal Record

Dear all, I am married to a Romanian woman who will qualify for a Permanent Residence in October 2019, which is one year from now (probably she will apply for settled status instead of PR due to Brexit). I married her in February 2017, so in February 2022 i will also qualify for the Permanent Reside...

Re: EU & Brexit Deal

In response to aarontran2506: As far as I can tell, she will become a dual national (Romanian and British) if she becomes British. You will therefore be able to apply for the privileged, EU-related form of ILR known as "settled status". The definition of "EU citizen" is significantly different from...

Re: 5 year EEA family residence permit expiring 3 months before the new "settled status" go live

[/quote] The thing is that I wanted to apply for the PR but, 2 years out of this 5 years my wife has been student although was working part-time 2 days a week, the income was below the NI PT threshold so the PR application wouldn't be straight forward because of the health insurance that they might ...

Re: EU & Brexit Deal

There is one gap in the statement of intent that I couldn't find anywhere. I hope the experts in this forum could enlighten me. I am a non-EA male married to a Romanian woman who will qualify for the new "settled status" (equivalent to permanent residence) in November 2019, my 5-year residence card ...

Dear OP,

Have you applied PR for your wife yet? I hope everything was decided in your favour.
I will be on the same boat soon so I would just like to gain some insight.
Your reply will be much appreciated,
Thank you
