Re: Apply for the Tier 2 (General) visa with a dependant child

Hi Gunja,

I decided to apply for the whole family (me, my husband and child) at the same time. We haven't received the outcome yet, hopefully everything goes well.

Thanks,
Jiao

Re: Tier 2 (General, new hires) Priority delays.

I sent an email ( from here ) to query the status of my application, and they replied the decision was made; after a week, the passport still didn't return. So I sent another email, and they replied the same thing ignoring all my other questions about my passport. Then I went to the visa application...

Re: Tier 2 (General, new hires) Priority delays.

My last application to Tier 2 General with Priority Service delayed, passport returned 4 weeks after biometrics. The decision was made within a week. I have no idea about why it took so much time to return the passport.

I am wondering if the Priority Service really helps to speed up the processing.

Re: Tier 2 dependant visa or Tier 4 visa?

I don't know where your girl study so difficult to comment. But she needs to get sponsor from the school if she come to study as Tier 4, which obviously not all schools provide sponsor. Tier 2 dependent is very flexible as she can study wherever she wanted, of course you have to keep working as Tie...

Re: TB Test for Tier 2 visa applicant

I think you can apply for TB test a few days earlier, the test certificate is valid for 6 months. They will normally ask you to pay for the test before getting a test date. Anyway you can call the testing clinics to get the details.

Re: Apply for the Tier 2 (General) visa with a dependant child

Hello again, When I looked deeper, I found that this plan was indeed problematic, and my child's application would be refused according to 319H.(f) . I am wondering what can satisfy this requirement: (iii) there are serious or compelling family or other considerations which would make it desirable n...

Re: Tier 2 (General) Dependant Child visa - Rejected

So if this is the case, any chance I can appeal on any basis and add spouse application also? Or is the ONLY other alternative to file applications for father and child? Hi tui2018, I have a similar issue, and I am wondering how you handled this - did you file applications for father and child fina...

Apply for the Tier 2 (General) visa with a dependant child

Hello all, I plan to apply for the Tier 2 (General) visa with my daughter as a Tier 2 dependant, but my husband will not apply at the same time. Since this is not the common case for other families, I am trying to see if there is any problem with this plan. Even though reading through the visa appli...

Re: Which website is correct to file an application?

This is confusing, but it seems to me both are official: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/is the original one, and https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/is new, according to the explanation on the link: "This is the new UK visa application website. We are testing it. It is designed to make the appl...
