Re: July 2018 restricted COS

I just got word that mine was approved! I don't know how many points I have. 40k base, plus 19k in allowances (some people said the allowances didn't count toward points, so either they count, or 40k is going through this month). Best of luck to you all 8) :P Hey Boss, Can you please shar...

Re: July 2018 restricted COS

Hi, I have been doing analysis on the FOI report since it started. The result i am sharing is the most likely mathematical truth. Only assumption is that in July additional applications for the month will be 1120 which is 60% of previous month ( since 40% are NHS every month). Also, 2300 seats or m...

Re: July 2018 restricted COS

This is what I have been thinking. if the average salary for doctors and nurses is below £60k, then we are unlikely to get approved this month. If their average salary is above £60k, then, this month will be very good! But wouldn't we be more likely to be approved if their salary is below 60k? Beca...

new visa route for scientists and researchers

I was just reading about this: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/uk-opens-door-to-gifted-foreign-scientists-0xwbqzh9v I was wondering how many people who would previously have needed an rcos for a Tier 2 will now be able to take the new route? Will this apply to a large number of people (ie, will i...

Re: points for non-salary portion of package

Thanks, I read them and am still confused. I called the pay-by-the-minute number I found on the "Contact Visas and Immigration..." page of the gov.uk site, and the person with whom I spoke didn't know, either. Then he referred me to the same docs, plus an additional pdf, and said he was "not sure an...

points for non-salary portion of package

Does anybody know if the non-salary portion of a package still counts for points for rcos? I found a doc online from uk.gov called "Tier 2 of the points based system - policy guidance" that explains that 30% of the non-salary portion of a package "counts" for rcos points. Also, my employer believes ...

Re: June 2018 Restricted COS

I wouldn’t suggest anyone resign from their jobs .. you all just speculating that nurses took up all the rcos and that’s why the point are so high this month .. it might not be the case might be just applicants with higher salary bands or other SOL besides the NHS !!! Don’t mess up your current job...

For people who have been through this in previous months, do you think it is certain that we'll learn if 55 goes through tomorrow? They aren't going to extend the wait longer than that, are they?

Re: June 2018 Restricted COS

For people who have applied in previous months, how long did it take for notification of your status to arrive after you were sure others had begun to receive refusals/approvals? I am wondering if it is realistic to expect an answer before the weekend, or if this could go on for another week.
