Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Update: Approved on 1st October, spoke to HO and they said, as expected- things are taking longer due to Covid-19. They confirmed my invitation hasn't been printed and despatched it. I have asked to get an invitation by email and was told this is not possible due to security reasons. Not sure what t...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Approval date 1 October here.
I've emailed them and they replied within a few days saying that my invitation has not yet been printed or dispatched. Not sure how others in October and even November got theirs. Really annoyed.

Is the Biometrics appointment for all applicants?

Hi everyone, Finally found an appointment to give biometrics. Wife and I have applied together, however the online website doesn't indicate if this appointment is for the both of us or not. I also have not received any email confirmation... I'm sure many of you know the answer. Many thanks in advanc...

The list is the list and that is what is accepted. It is not a choice of "the professions on the list or someone you believe might qualify/be ok"
Thank you madam.

Disclosing penalty notices

I've been asked about previous convictions. I have had one driving ticket sent to me (from an automatic camera) in 2016 and then a wrong left turn (again from an automatic camera) in 2017. For the speeding I took a course so didn't pay a fine or had points. The other penalty charge (from my council)...

Re: Help with information about previous applications

Thank you!
I think I've got it figured out now. I'm hoping it'll be okay. I've got the dates, I just don't have the reference number for EEA family permit. Is that a problem?

Re: Help with information about previous applications

Thank you all. I guess we will have to find another referee that fits the list. One more question if you could kindly help - I've been asked about convictions. Re: Help with information about previous applications

That is the guidance from UKVI. Yes I get that, and I really appreciate you linking that. I was just wondering if those are the only professions allowed, or whether this is a guidance. My wife's referee is a clinical manager at a charity, but she's not a manager of a charity, if that makes sense?

Re: Help with information about previous applications

Fingerprints are/were not required for EEA applications - so "no" is ok. Also you can use estimated dates (month/year). For acceptable referee professions refer to page 25: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/631639/Nationality-policy-gene...

Re: Help with information about previous applications

Thank you both!
So Family permit outside the UK she did give fingerprint? We honestly can't remember as it was 7 years ago. My wife *think* she had to at the embassy but can't quite remember.
I also don't have the case reference... hope that's not an issue.
I did find the date though!

Help with information about previous applications

I'm an EEA national and my wife had applied for a family permit, residence card (5 year) and we then both applied and got permanent residence card in late 2018. We are asked about my wife temporary 5 years residence card and wh...

Does anyone know of this is the home office who tried to call me?

Someone tried to call me from 01140600140. I believe that is a Sheffield number. Does anyone know if it's the home office? I'm waiting for a decision on my application and couldn't pick up. When I called back it says "the number you have called is not recognised"
Please help

Date first entered UK

does anyone know what we should write for my wife's (non-eu) application? Re: EEA PR - Self employed - Need your help Please!

I see what you are saying. But what is the proof of self-assessment with HMRC? It can't be the SA300/SA302 because it clearly says that if you CAN'T provide proof of self-assessment then you have to provide one proof for EACH one of the three categories (meaning at least 15 documents), not from any...

Re: EEA PR - Self employed - Need your help Please!

I might be able to send the first one, although I am not sure what it is. It's form SA300/SA302, one per tax year - phone HMRC/Inland Revenue direct to get them. Make sure your evidence shows a UK address. Otherwise I think I have to send Tax calculation (Category 1) + bank statements with received...

She never left for more than 6 months in any single year. In fact, I'm not sure either of us have been out of the UK for 6 months in total in the past 5 years!
