Should the child be present in VFS office for surrendering passport? or i can submit all documents?

Not necessary. That info is available on the surrender passport website already.

Can someone confirm that the new procedure now is:
- First obtain British passport
- surrender certificate and Indian passport
- renunciation
- OCI

Is that how it is? Why so convoluted and cumbersome I don’t know.
