Re: Guidance, renewing spouse visa

Thank you. That’s very helpful.

On switching, is it best to do this through a solicitor or is it simple enough to do ourselves? I had a quick look but couldn’t find guidance.

Re: Guidance, renewing spouse visa

Sorry, it was 30 months. We applied in the UK, as a partner of me (British citizen). We applied initially and were declined but the applied again with proof of my pregnancy and then approved for 30 months on the 10 year route. In terms of travelling, what are the rules? How long needs to be left on ...

And can he travel right up until when we submit the application? Also, a few people have said he is eligible to switch to 5 year route. What does this mean? Thank y...

Travelling before visa expires

Hi all, Just a quick question. I’m planning on booking a surprise trip abroad. My husband is on a spouse visa ending October 2021. If we travel in May (also returning in May), that’s allowed isn’t it? Just wanted to check there isn’t a limit (similar to how there must be 6 months left on your passpo...

It’s on the visa page, if you scroll right down there is a small blue box under all of the visa options, if you click that it leads here

Re: Moroccan tourist visa

My husband has a UK residence permit but still requires a visa to visit Morocco. It’s a shame they’re being annoying, because we’re really looking forward to visiting!

Re: Moroccan tourist visa

We live in London, so need to do it in person, unfortunately.

I have emailed twice too and nothing back. I’m worried that time is going to go quickly and we’ll be too late.

Moroccan tourist visa

Hi all

My husband and I have booked a holiday to Morocco and my husband needs a visa. He is Albanian but with a UK permit.

I need to make an appointment with the Moroccan embassy in London but they never answer their phone or emails.

Has anyone had the same issue?

Re: Tourist visa non-British citizen

Thanks for all of your help. Do you think it's worth applying or not?

Obviously the overstaying will go against him. But he has a permanent job, and a wife and child in the UK to return to. (I have no idea what they take into account when making their decision!)

Re: Tourist visa non-British citizen

No, he didn’t come as a visitor and overstay. He actually came on an Italian passport, but was never caught with that. When applying for the visa, he stated that he came over on a lorry...

Re: Tourist visa non-British citizen

Thank you - I'll read about that visa.

He's never overstayed somewhere as such - he was in the UK illegally from the start, but was granted his visa when he applied. He was never arrested or anything. Do you think this will show on the record?

Tourist visa non-British citizen

Hello, I would like to book a trip to NYC, but would like an understanding of visas etc. I am British, have been before and used an ESTA. My husband is Albanian, but he has a residence permit for UK and lives here with us. We would be travelling with my son, who has a British passport. My question i...

Re: Visa granted but no passport

Thank you! I don’t know our local reporting centre so I’ll have to google it.

Typically the home office have misspelt his date of birth on his BRP so now we are trying to sort that too!!

Re: Visa granted but no passport

Thank you, however He wasn’t reporting anywhere.

We submitted an initial application last year that was rejected in Feb. Then we submitted a new application immediately.

How can I find out where it is / who should I contact?

Visa granted but no passport

Hello all, After applying for a second time, my husbands visa has been granted based on exceptional circumstances (we are expecting our first child in August). He has 30 months on the 10 year route. The documents have been returned including my passport and the BRP card was delivered today. However,...

Permission to marry

Hi all My fiancé and I met with the registrar 2 weeks ago and were told that we would get a letter from HO within 10 days to confirm whether we had 28 days notice or whether it would be extended. It’s now been 14 days. Do we just wait it out or is there a number to call? The wait is horrible! Thanks...
