Re: Passport application to a child EU refused

On what basis were you applying for your son's passport? What is your Nationality? Did either parent have settled status when your son was born? It seems all reasons for refusal are already given in the email sent to you, unless there is some information you haven't mentioned already.

Re: Is proof of English required for citizenship if it was provided for ILR?

There's a question on Naturalisation application whether you took the English test for your ILR application, you answer yes and provide your old certificates that you used back then (for both yourself and your wife). If you had not used them before and they were over 2 years only then would you need ...

Re: Citizenship

My wife came from Pakistan on spouse visa in October 2009 and got ilr a few years later. She did the life in the uk test and b1 test but we never applied for citizenship as we had a lot of issues with my son who was autistic and my wife was his carer. Her brp expired in 2022. We want to apply for ...

Re: Why do we write our name, surname, and DOB on the back of the photo for the referee in the online application

Thank you! So do I upload it with the photo attached and signed - just to be safe? Also, do I upload photos of me ahead of the appointment? I thought they’ll take photos and fingerprints there?.. don’t want to mess up 🫣 If you have booked a Biometrics appointment with TLSContact they will ask you to ...

I just submitted my application and now stressing about the referee declaration that instructs to attach a physical photo... I filled out all referees ...

Re: ILE as dependent child now adult and want to apply for Citizenship independently

Thank you Vinny for your swift response. I'm aware that a 22 year old is an adult and can apply for Citizenship independently, that wasn't my query. My question was specifically for the circumstances outlined above where the now adult has an expired Indefinite Leave to Enter as a dependent child ...

ILE as dependent child now adult and want to apply for Citizenship independently

Hi all. I'm helping a 22 year old that came to the UK as a dependent child with Indefinite Leave to Enter. There were problems with the relationship resulting in them moving to someone else's care and still having this visa as an adult (The ILE is a vignette valid from 2012-2014 I'm guessing due to ...

Re: Naturalization - PCN

I received 2 PCN and 1 ticket for parking in disabled space. So you've had 3 PCNs? What were the other 2 for and were they issued by police? Not sure what you meant with above but generally there is no requirement to declare PCNs. See Q5 https://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/british ...

Re: Home Office requested my original passport for citizenship application

Re: BRP card return

No the home office does not send any acknowledgement that they have received the BRP card. Your only proof will be the signature on the track and trace once it's delivered. They only ask for you to send it within 5 days not for them to receive within 5 days so 30 days is not necessary.

Re: UKVI Lost my support documents for naturalisation

Chances are your documents are somewhere there just not with the right person! Unfortunately this means you might have to spend more money for reconsideration (which will be refunded if you're successful). This user had a somewhat similar experience: https://www.immigrationboards.com/british ...

If you sent to this address: Naturalisation BRP Returns PO Box 195 Bristol BS20 1BT Then you sent to the correct address. The post office are having/had severe delays maybe due to holidays. Or perhaps because it's a PO Box. I suspect your other posts that were delivered were not to the same address ...

Re: Mistake on the online application form

They already have this information about you and yes a few people have had issues with it. Mainly people don't remember the dates and don't have the reference numbers. If you answer Yes, it asks to provide details "If known" hence why I don't think it's that big a deal.

Re: Mistake on the online application form

Presumably you don't know who your case worker is, so it'd be difficult to write to your case worker. I don't think it's that big a deal but for your own peace of mind, you could write an email with your Case ID (found in your acknowledgement email from home office) in the subject. Provide your full ...

Re: British Naturalisation - Referee (made a mistake)

You cannot change or edit your application form once it's already submitted. Find another referee who's compliant with the list and get them to sign the declaration. Write a cover letter to explain this, completing the required referee's information as per the application form i.e their full name ...

Re: Lost my home office invitation letter

It's not 90 days from when you received the letter in the post because the time from approval date and receipt varies wildly from person to person. It's 90 days from the date on the approval letter so make sure it's not already expired. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads ...

You will not need to re-apply for citizenship as long as you attend ceremony within 90 days from date on the letter of approval. I presume you have already sent the email to the home office. Ask your council regarding re-booking due to circumstances. Also ask how much notice you need to cancel ...
