Ok, we heard back today from the ECS. All good for me to keep working etc. I guess nothing to complain about and I just need to keep waiting.

Your employer is supposed to use the ECS process to check your status. A reply is to be expected within 5 days but my employer hasnt heard back from UKVI for over 2 months, that was why i emailed UKVI complaints team.
