Re: Passport lost by HMPO!

Well, despite nagging them every day since Friday, we are still being robbed off with the “we’re investigating” excuse. It it so unreasonable to know where the passport is? Any advice about what we can do? Feeling lost and extremely frustrated.

Re: Passport lost by HMPO!

They don’t seem to know what actually happened to it. They thought it had been handed to DX for delivery but only realised they didn’t have a tracking number when my husband pointed it out to them. They were quite surprised!

Passport lost by HMPO!

I am absolutely livid with the passport office right now. Last Saturday, my husband got the confirmation text to say that his passport was ready. On Monday, he received his supporting documents. Then... nothing. So yesterday afternoon, he called HMPO and they said his passport was printed on Monday ...

Re: Passport Supporting Documents Help

No, he's booked the ceremony but not attended yet. We're just filling out the passport form ready to send it off as soon as he has the certificate.

Does that mean just his current passport?

Passport Supporting Documents Help

Hi all, I'm very pleased that my husband has just been granted citizenship! We're just looking at the passport form and are a little confused by section 3. My husband's old passport expired but it had his first visa in it. Should we include his old passport, new passport or both? We're a bit confuse...

Re: Sopra Steria appointments

Exactly the same for me too. I was very surprised as we'd brought all of our documents with us. They checked my husband's current passport, his old passport and my passport but that was it.

Re: Scanning Passport

In the end, I decided to scan them in two parts and save them as "first half" and "second half". It seems to be ok to do it like this.

Scanning Passport

Hi all, My husband has completed his citizenship application and we're scanning documents, ready to go to the Sopra centre this Saturday. We're a little confused by the passport requirement. Do we need to scan every page in each of our passports, or just mine? I can't seem to find advice on this any...

Re: New Citizenship Application

Thank you very much.

So will my husband definitely be able to use the UKVCAS centre for his application? He seems to think he’ll need to send his documents by post?

New Citizenship Application

Hi all, I'm absolutely thrilled this week as my husband was finally granted ILR (Thanks, in-part, to help and support from this forum). He's very keen to apply for citizenship straight away (or as soon as his new BRP comes through) but we're a little confused as to what the process is with the new s...

Application form?

Hi all, After much trying, my husband and I eventually booked an appointment at the PSC in Croydon on 22/11. We were very organised and filled in the application form a couple of weeks ago. We noticed a couple of things we needed to change so I went to re-download the application form and... there i...

Financial Requirement Question

Hi all, Thank you for your help so far. I'm just filling out the financial requirement section for my husband's ILR and I'm not sure what to put for the question 8.3A (iii) - Have you/your sponsor been in employment with the same employer and earning the amount specified in (xiv) below continuously ...

Re: Premium Service help!

Thank you very much.

We still very much want to use the PSC. Does anyone have any tips on how to get an appointment? We’d like to go to Cardiff but are willing to travel pretty much anywhere.

Re: Premium Service help!

Thank you for your reply. Sorry to be an idiot but the gov website doesn't make it obvious. What's the best way to apply by post? I'm trying to think clearly but am so so stressed.

Premium Service help!

Hi all,

I’m really panicking at the moment. My husband and I have just logged on to book a premium service appointment for 23/11 and it’s telling us there are no apppointments in the next 45 days! Panicking slightly as this is obviously very important for us! Is this normal?! Please help!

Spouse visa to ILR: When can we apply?

Hi all, My husband currently has FLR and will have been in the UK for 5 years on 23rd November 2018. His BRP has an expiry date of 14th December, which is more than a little confusing! We easily meet all the requirements for ILR but it's not clear when the earliest date we can apply is. We are plann...
