Hi everybody!

Static, I wish you get well soon!!!!

Unfortunately, we will not be able to join you, as we are going back to Argentina next Thursday.

We still wish you all the very best. My special regards to Static and Archigabe (since I had the pleasure to meet them).

Cheers!

dsab85, are you British?

If you are not, don't forget to submit the EEA2 together with your EEA1... it seems to speed up the process over there!

Going back home :( There's no point in staying here. My husband can't do what he came to do here working 10 hours a day, and there's no certainty of a quick resolution. UK is out of the question now, our funds are not precisely abundant or even enough to start all over again. Wish we knew before we...

Thanks guys for the info. The reason I was asking is the following: As soon as I received the letter requesting proof of prior residence in another EU state, I got in touch with the Embassy of Ireland in Argentina. They told me that Ireland was requesting prior residence in another member state to ...

Thanks Sahil!

Can anyone post the complete text of the refusal letters? Of course, deleting your full names and any other personal information.

I'm particularly interested in the recent refusals, as I have applied only a few months ago.

Thanks!

Hi Tomás, Sorry to hear about the rejection. I e-mailed you about this, but my main question is: Do they actually state that they cannot grant you temporary residence in your refusal letter? Best of luck with everything. tomasmv wrote: So in accordace with the provisions of regulation 8(1), it is ...

Archigabe said: What is really galling is that a work permit holder from a Non-European country would seem to have more rights to bring his family over than a European citizen in Ireland... Last week I went over to the GNIB to try to get them to stamp my passport so I could enter another EU country ...

Hi Kevarms, Our main frustration is also related to the fact that we were misinformed by the Irish Embassy in Buenos Aires (http://www.irlanda.org.ar/). Just for you to know, that Embassy represents Ireland in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. In short, though they seem very nice peo...

Thanks BigApple! I thought I was the only one who found the wording complicated and confusing. In regards to the actual impact, I'm also pesimistic. This just confirms that we have a point, and I think we knew that from the very beginning. As I said in previous posts, we don't need a loophole to be...

Yes, this seems to be for Non-EU nationals residing legally who want to bring their Non-EU family to Europe.

It has nothing to do with us (family of an EU national).

Bulmash, I hold an Argentine passport (just like the US, I don't need a visa). Last week I was at the GNIB and they made a note (they took my picture and they gave me a registration number) that I was going to leave he country. The BIG difference is that I'm still awaiting a response, I haven't rec...

I'm sorry, but I fail to see how this relates to our situation...

It's too far-fetched, our Rights are much more basic (and should be easier to defend) than the ones of the "seconded foreing workers"

The decision I mention in my previous post is the High Court ruling. My only question was: "Why do we know that the Kumar case is the one?" I couldn't find the source for that. I don't know if the info that the Immigrant Council gave me is accurate either, but they said they expected the High Court...

Hearing postponed until June 26th... Sorry for the bad news. :( I was so upset I didn't even ask the reason for the postponement... Does anybody have that info?
