Questions about passport application

Hiya, I just had my ceremony and now I'm going to apply for a passport. Before I do that I had a couple of questions. Would I need to send my Bulgarian passport as part of the UK passport application? My Bulgarian passport is currently expired, do I need to renew that before I can apply? Do they jus...

Re: Not being able to get through to council

Update in case someone ends up in a similar situation, i ended up going around by mailing a complaint to the council, which then got redirected to the appropriate team and got booked in less than 24 hours after I sent that. Not an ideal a situation but it has been resolved now.

Re: Not being able to get through to council

Still no one has phoned me back, I've left two messages. I went to the council in person and I was told that no one picks up the phone and on certain days of the week someone goes through the messages and phones people back. They also said they can't do anything in person and they also said not to w...

Not being able to get through to council

Hiya, I got my approval yesterday morning (so happy!) and I've tried to phone my local council (Edinburgh) to book a ceremony using the phone number provided. However noone is picking up and I get a recording saying to leave my details and someone would call back. I did leave my details but noone ph...

Re: Natualisaton application - LIUK test certificate lost

I just did my test two weeks ago and when they gave me the document they said that if I loose it I'll have to contact HMRC because they are not allowed to reissue certificates and most probably I would have to sit another exam. I wouldn't send it without the test, resitting the test is only 50 pound...

Re: Comprehensive medical insurance.

I don't know much about Finland so maybe someone from Finland should confirm, but I believe you can get an EHIC card from your national health institution, they are valid for a year at a time and are considered proof of CSI when applying for permanent residency.

Comprehensive sickness insurance, yellow card

Hiya, I applied and received my permanent residency in early October. However I applied as a student from 2010-2014 and then worker 2014-2018 and the letter that came with my documents stated that I have acquired permanent residency September 2018. I wrote back to my case worker asking for an explan...

Re: PR wrong date

Thank you so much for the response! I sent a letter yesterday saying that I have provided evidence from 2010 onward and i was expecting the date to be closer to September 2015, I said I was hoping this is a mistake however if its not I wanted to know what was i missing so I can make a fresh applicat...

Re: PR wrong date

Ah, no, I didn't realise I had to tell them explicitly in the cover letter, I didn't realise that is the case. However during the online form application I'm pretty sure it did ask when I believe i have acquired PR status. Such a shame because I've been preparing this application for months. Can I w...

PR wrong date

Hiya, I've just received my Permanent Residency, however the date on the enclosed letter says I've acquired it on 04/09/2018 and I provided proof from September 2010 onward. There's no explanation in the letter as to why they have excluded 2 of the years and the evidence I have provided for my stude...

Student proof of funds

Hiya, I think I have everything needed for my application but I need some further clarification. I'm applying based on 4 year as a student, 2 years self employed and 2 years full time worker. For my student years there's a requirement to proof that I have had enough money not to become a burden to t...

Re: Proof of address and proving finances as student

I'm wondering about the same thing at the moment. I'm about to send my application and I have gotten bank statements for all years when in uni. Most of the time I had a part time job enough to cover basics, but I also always had my Bulgarian card in which my parents could send me money if needed. So...
