Re: Pending decisions/approvals on applications from 16-17

I have asked my TD to ask this question in the Dail: "Among all the applicants currently in the system, what are the top 5 nationalities who have been waiting for the longest time on average for a decision. Also what is the current mean time to process for these 5 nationalities?" I am happy for any...

Re: Law on being outside of Ireland AFTER naturalisation application?

[/quote] You're seriously mistaken on this. As people above pointed out, citizens of USA have no entitlement or right to be in Ireland. USA is not a member of EU. It is solely at discretion of immigration officer to decide to let you in or not. Working without a valid permission while living in UK o...

Law on being outside of Ireland AFTER naturalisation application?

I am in the final stages of my citizenship application (started March 2019) and currently have a stamp 4 visa that expires in October 2020. My husband and I have been out of Ireland since December and I registered my mailing address as our family's home in Belfast. Our plan was to move to Belfast af...

Re: How Many Letters Requesting Info? Second Letter?

Oh that’s great news. I was hoping it would be a second stage letter. As far as the tourist stamp, it’s a bit complicated. My husband and I had been out of Ireland for about a year for a work project of his. My stamp 4 expired when we were away, so when I arrived back, I was on a tourist visa. I’d a...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

I guess you are right. What else can we do if INIS only want to do it the difficult way, other than dragging them to the court. This is just so ridiculous and shameful for INIS to do such things and delay applications on purpose while the declared time is only 6 months and applicants are waiting fr...

How Many Letters Requesting Info? Second Letter?

I see a lot of people mentioning second letters, but I'm not understanding what they are. Are they just confirmation or are they asking for more info? I applied a year and half ago and have received two letters asking for info. The first asked me for a police report from the year I lived abroad. See...

Re: INIS treating Pakistanis and Africans differently?

Even though they say 6 months. Honestly it’s more like 2 years. I will say I feel British, Americans and some eu countries seem to get priority. I am from the US with an Irish spouse. I have waited for almost a year now and haven't gotten the second letter. I contacted all my TDs and finally, they ...

Second application/ rejection stats?

I submitted an application in March 2019 and am a bit paranoid about it being rejected. I met the listed requirements for the spouse of an Irish citizen BUT I was out of Ireland for nine months (I still was here for more than one year continuously, and more than three years in total so this technica...

I somehow managed to find the work email address of that clerk, who's looking my application. wondering will this be okay If I send her direct email and request her for decision or temporary stamp. How exactly did you find this email address? Did you just try variations of the name with @justice.ie?

Meanwhile, the Minister is doing PR rounds for xxxxxx. Is anyone else frustrated with this case? His visa was denied because he has drug convictions in Ireland. He stayed anyway and worked illegally as a house painter. He always had the opportunity to live a safe life in Ireland with a guaranteed vi...

Has any been able to get through on the phone line? They say "Phonelines are open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 12:30, excluding public holidays" for the (0)62 32500 number, but I've called them endlessly during these times and either it's busy or it just rings until the line clicks and d...
