Re: Fiancé Visa to 1st Spouse Visa - 2 years living requirement?!

Thanks CR001. We applied for the visa which allows no work, study etc and is valid for 6 months. The main reason being the allowance to get married, which we did. Cost was £1,500. Confident we have the right one to switch to a spouse visa, I probably just called it incorrectly on my first post. Thanks

Fiancé Visa to 1st Spouse Visa - 2 years living requirement?!

Hi all, very grateful for any help. We received a fiancé visa and recently got married. Now applying for the first spouse visa and part of the application says it wants us to provide evidence we have been living together for the last 2 years?!! This isn’t possible given she has only just come over t...

Hi, did you manage to sort this? I have the same problem but the opposite way round with my wife needing to come back to the UK after a 2 week visit.

Re: UK Spouse Visa initial advice

I think the most important part is that if you're married, there is no time limit how on long you relationship must have been nor how long you've lived together. What I did was take the tenancy in my name and have my wife as a permitted occupant. Then on her arrival, she presented her BRP at the let...

Re: Family Visitor Visa - Return Ticket

How long did you apply for on the visa application? For example if you applied to only use 3 months, then you should use only three months and book an appropriate return ticket for 3 months after she arrives here. If you don't do this, you may have issues getting a visitor visa in the future for her.

Re: Standard visitor visa for parents forget mention previous refusals

I would consider yourself very lucky that your family members were not accused of deception and banned from applying again for 10 years. 'Forgetting' isn't a good enough excuse as far as the Home Office is concerned. I would concentrate on fixing each reason for the refusal and then re-applying with...

Re: Visitor visa application for Mother

Probably worth one of the experts confirming but I think your mother will be refused. I have read this in numerous threads. The home office will not take kindly to someone staying 1.5 months longer than you said she would. The minimum visit visa is for 6 months but if you ask for 3.5 months, it does...

Re: Standard visitor visa for my mum refused twice

Hello, Thanks for reply. Well we applied for only 10days visit and we mentioned that she want to come for 10days as my sister being there cannot be alone more than 10days. Apart from this we mentioned her properties in pakistan too and we mentioned as my dad being a heart patient and need my mother...

Re: Standard visitor visa for my mum refused twice

If your saying that your sister is dependent on your mother, but your mother is leaving for 2 months to visit the UK, your sister isn't really dependent on your mother if she can get by without her for 2 months. I would say this would be something you need to convince the Home Office about, if this ...

Re: Extension for Visitor Visa

Hello all, I had a query related to UK visitor visa extension. My mother in law got UK visitor visa from 5th April to 4th October 2019. She travelled to UK on 6th April and travelled back to India on 18th May (she stayed in UK for 44 days) Now she again travelled back on 1st July and her planned re...

Re: Judicial review rejected now want to do a fresh application

So, for 6 out of the 8 years in the UK, how did you support yourself? Presumably you worked without paying tax or NI, since to pay tax you would have had to have had an NI number, and this is not obtainable unless you are permitted to work. So you cheated tax as well, unless you had a ton of saving...

Re: UK spouse visa help US refusal

Ok the visa was refused longer ago than I was expecting. Sorry my assumption was more recently. With a year and a bit in a relationship and the refusal more than a year ago it is not quite so bad a picture. Do you intend to marry in Cuba once his divorce is settled? That is an easier/ less barrier ...

The 90 days start from your Biometrics date and therefore it has not been 90 days yet.
