It should be less of a serious problem since your citizenship certificate should still be with either home ...

Well, the requirement says "you are a Commonwealth citizen" and did not say "born in a commonwealth country" so I don't expect the person not to be qualified for Ancestry if they apply for Ancestry as a Citizen of that commonwealth country.

Alright. Then they will return the original documents or passport/driving licence to you.

If you used driving licence to sit for the life in the UK test, then you must carry it along with the passport to NCS. The passport is needed to check/confirm absences and to also verify identity.

Are you using NCS or sending it directly? There is the option of applying through NCS (Nationality Checking Service) at various councils where they check, photocopy and give you back any document you provide including your passport/driving licence. Then they send in your application to UKBA. You sho...

I don't think you should worry too much. For ILR through Ancestry Visa, they are mostly more concerned with re-validating your ancestry than with your finances. The previous three months signed payslips should be sufficient especially when checked against your salaries paid into your bank statements...

Supposing there are forms where the glue does not sufficiently hold the photos and they come off the form, how would the Home office know whose photo actually belong to which form?

Perhaps this is one of the key reasons why they request name and DOB on the back of the passport photograph

Ancestry Visa has no "Continuous work requirement". Even if you are not working when you apply for ILR, you should be given if you have worked for a major part of your stay in the 5 years and still intend to work. What I don't know is if your 3 months abroad meant you were away from the UK for more ...

I don't see that there is a law for Ancestry cases which clearly states that you can't be away for that long. However, you we...
