Re: What salary to write? Pre or post pay rise

@Seagul my response does not relate to the calculation method used to determine whether the OPs application meets the financial requirements. I’m responding to the OPs question which explicitly asks what to use in the online application What is their annual income before tax for this employment in G...

Re: False tourist visa info's impact on fiance visa application

To add to @THO’s response, we faced a similar issue. In my opinion, you’re overthinking.

My partner indicated he was single (he was, by legal definition) when we were in fact engaged.

Hope this helps.

Re: What salary to write? Pre or post pay rise

So I've been working for my company for over six months. For the first three months I was paid £26,000 and for the last three I was paid £27,500. In the application where it asks what my salary is, should I state £26,000 or £27,500? I know that they will only use the £26,000 to calculate but it jus...

Re: Fiancé visa application query

First, congratulations to you both! The visa process is a daunting process, but it will be worth it! We too had a small gathering at a Registry Office with 15 guests at a local hotel/wedding venue for our ‘reception’. As proof of our intent to marry, we provided: - receipt for rings and; - email cor...

Maybe after reading it you won't reply because might accept your failure to grasp it but if you still then you can carrying on talking with yourself. Instead 5.3 the 5.4 applies here: 5.4. Re: Unmarried Partner Visa - Financial requirement calculation

You were told what guidance suggested and the official guideline will still stand correct regardless of whether the visa was approved or not. Re: Decision Made Email After 2 Days

Congratulations! Further, and having reviewed the thread, I agree with the OP and geoeng. Ive no doubt that Section 5.3 applied in this situation and the wrong advice was given. Remember that most of us are not qualified immigration professionals and are providing guidance based on our interpretatio...

Re: FLR (M) processing time

Hi there, I applied yesterday (using standard service) for my FLR (M) extension and have my BRP scheduled in a few days but i am really concerned about the processing time as my visa expires on 22nd December. When the guideline states 8 week processing time, do it actually take long? i am really ho...

Have you checked your tax and NI contributions through your Government Gateway account? You can view the information provided by your employer to HMRC in your account.

Re: Spouse visa refusal

Due to my bonus I would always get paid different per wage, I get paid 2 weekly so I submitted 26 weeks worth of wage slips which added up to £10,000 for the 6 months. This would equal to £20,000 for the year which is clearly exceeding the amount they require. My colleagues have used the same metho...

Re: Spouse visa refusal

Hi Thankyou so much for the reply. Yes my employer has kept everything updated with HMRC - I work with many colleagues who have had successful visas in the past so I’m hoping for an overturn during the appeal review. Fingers crossed Within the 6 months you have relied upon, was your gross pay alway...

Re: Application for Family Route

Emails *should* be sent prior to the issuance of a BRP. However, a decision is given by email only when your application has been approved.

As @seagul has advised, DX are the courier responsible for delivering BRPs. Your decision letter should follow soon after, but by Royal Mail.

Re: Police Registration Dilemma

There is no requirement for spouse/CP to register with the Police, unless it is written on either your fiancé visa vignette and/or your BRP. Did you actually read my post? Hello, I am in an absolute dilemma relating to police registration. Re: Fiancee visa - Notice of marriage

Your advisor is very much mistaken. As CR001 has advised, notice can only be given once you are in the UK. Note also that you must have been a UK resident for 9 consecutive days, not 8. The requirement for a fiancé visa is that you must show intent to marry. This does not necessarily require you to ...

Re: Urgent advice please for first spouse visa Extension

Simply scan and upload them yourself. Then you know everything is done correctly. I share the sentiment. When the agent was scanning our documents at Sopra Steria, it was clear that a number were being fed through and not scanned. Highlighting this to the agent, she said there was ‘no problem’ and ...

At the Sopra Steria in Croydon, they provide a phone number for you to call and pay for document scanning at the centre . Once you have paid, you will then have to queue and wait for another available agent to scan your documents and submit your application to UKVI. Check on the Sopra Steria site th...
