Re: Premium Appt and IHS Surcharge

Let's say someone's current annual salary was £30k and the employer letter states the same. However during one of previous 6 months from when they apply, they had to take some unpaid leave. That month they only received £1750 instead of £2500 as shown on the other 5 payslips. For category A, the ann...

Re: Premium Appt and IHS Surcharge

I'll disagree with the salaried amount which you should state. You mean agree. No I disagree with what the member said "Put down the salary as £38k" Letter of employment will state the sponsor is earning £41k - OP is this correct or not? I'm the member that said that. Why are you confusing the OP w...

Re: Premium Appt and IHS Surcharge

Your husband is earning enough to meed the financial requirement so just use his income, no need to mention yours. You need to apply under Category A as he has been with the same employer for the last 6 months. Put down the salary as £38k, you need to enter the lowest amount received in the last 6 p...

Re: Life in UK Test - Change in Identity Document

I was just wondering about using the BRP card as identity.
What if you renew your BRP card after you have taken the test. Will the Home Office still be able to match the test pass to your application?
Or is just used for ID on the day?

If your salaried income is high enough then don't declare the self employed income, you'll just make the application harder on yourself.

Re: Set(M) - photocopies

HO scan your documents in when you apply by post and then return the originals to you at some point. Photocopies are required usually when you apply in person. On the Set(m) form Section 12 Documents it states: Unless stated, they must be originals. You should photocopy each of these documents and ...

Re: UK SPOUSE VISA REFUSAL FOR FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT

Your payslip states your basic pay and as the pension contributions are deducted before tax, these have been minused from the basic pay to show the taxable pay, which is your gross pay. Without the pension deductions the basic pay and the gross taxable pay would have been the same. It's a shame that...

Re: UK SPOUSE VISA REFUSAL FOR FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT

When the application was assessed, the figures taken from his last 6 month payslips were those after his contributions to his company pension scheme and so this total was below £18,600. How do you know this? What were the gross figures from the last 6 month payslips you sent, were any of below 1550...

Re: FLR Guidance Please

Hi, My wife's initial Leave to Remain expires on the 4th November so i know we need to apply for her FLR around 4 weeks beforehand, she has passed her A2 Selt Exam and we have the original certificate. You do not need to apply 4 weeks beforehand. It's the earliest you can apply if you want to and b...

She needs to be in employment for at least 6 months previous to application date to fulfil CAT A requirement.

So apply after 24/10 to fulfil CAT A.
Shouldn't that be apply after 12/10, because that would be 6 months with the current employer.
It's not 6 months from the first pay slip is it?

Re: Financial Req -Category help

If her current salary is at least £18,600 and in the past 12 months prior to application date, in TOTAL, she has earned more than £18,600 then you can apply under CAT B and provide payslips and bank statements to cover this period. What would they enter on the applicaton form for their current annu...

Re: Clear ECO mistake! What are my options?

The test was conducted at the British Council in Kiev (UA001) and is clearly stated on the test. It is still an approved provider and, I believe, always was. Apologies if I'm out of line but the case worker does not seem to have made a mistake. Even though the test provider is on the current list, ...

Russian nationals need to apply for a Schengen Visa before visiting the EU.
The countries you have lived in or visited is irrelevant.

Question: How often do you see (meet) your partner?

I put down everyday.

I'm the British sponsor amd was just thinking that I went on holiday abroad last year for 2 weeks with friends.
Is that irrelevant and my answer technically correct?

Apologies for being an idiot.

Yes, the passport just has to be valid at the time of the application.

Just wondering though, is it okay to renew the passport in January even if a decision had not been made yet?

Re: Visa refused due to applying for wrong application. Lost right to work.

The way I read the paragraph (and the section it is in), the "specified form" is the current form required for the particular application chosen by the applicant. So, in this case, the role of the Home Office caseworker would be limited to verifying that the application was made on the correct and ...

Re: Application under Catagory B Income?

Thanks for the reply.

So for Category B, part 1, I would enter 35,000 for current annual salary (receiving 2916pm x 12).

Then for part 2, I would enter 31,039, which is the total income from the last 12 months payslips added together.

Thanks.

You can very well be fit under category B. You will have to send 12 months of payslips from present & previous job and the employer letter from present job. Although P60 can serve the purpose but still preferably try to send payslips instead p60. Would the payslips from the previous job have to be ...
