Re: Spouse Visa and child benefit???

Use whichever route you prefer, but if it is asked make sure you disclose it.. I have it on good accord that as long as ONE partner in the marriage is eligible to apply (who is either ILR or British national) ... the other partner with NRPF is fine to claim the CHB in their name.. ofcourse, provided...

Re: Inviting girlfriend to visit

Have seen similar cases with a friend who tried to do the same for his Thai girlfriend.. also temporary factory work, no funds/assets to evidence... they had a tough time getting her over. In general, ALL visitor visa applicant needs to show strong ties to their home country -- eg: employment to ret...

Re: Laminated degree certificate

Well, you are a bit stuffed now mate, init! ... Its something you need to send, butnot something you can undo (the lamination)... Considering it is a UK-university issued document, they should be able to verify it further directly with the Uni if they wish, to ensure legitimacy. If you have your Fin...

Re: Different in spelling of name in Passport and Employment document

Yet another example our Indian system really screws people over with their gross incompetence! The PASSPORT Name is the one you need to stick to on visa application as this is the travel document... Do not mention the incorrect name anywhere if it is not needed . Was his name at birth ACTUALLY "Moga...

Re: UK Visitor Visa from India

So I take it your parents marriage certificate is not available to add to the application? If your mothers passport contains your fathers name, then that should be adequate enough to make the link. Ideally , the clear-cut way is to see the Applicant's name directly mentioned to assets evidenced-- jo...

Re: UK Visitor Visa from India

I would recommend going by all references to your mothers spelling as per what is in HER passport (not yours, with the incorrect spelling). In your cover letter you can acknowledge the fact up front that there is a spelling mistake in your passport about her name. If you have YOUR birth certificate ...

Re: Spouse Visa and child benefit???

Thanks for your response CR001. I have recently changed CHB from my wife to myself.. On her PBS Extn form (due in March-2019), we will of course have to tick the box for having claimed CHB in the past. I plan to include a covering letter to explain that it has now been changed to myself and also the...

Re: Spouse Visa and child benefit???

I am in the same situation. The wife (PBS Dependent) has "No Recourse to Public Funds" (NRPF) on her visa. At the time our first child was born I was on ILR (so our child was a British citizen from birth), and I was granted British Citizenship myself within 2 months of the birth. However, as my wife...

Re: Visit Visa Refused

I guess they treated the large deposits as suspicious , specially if there was no evidence of similar large deposits in the previous months... and especially if the deposits were not "explained" either, they stand out from the norm. If those funds were indeed from another account, it would have been...

** Is it possible to vary leave while under Section 3C / 3D? **

Greetings everyone.. I would greatly appreciate your interpretation of the updated 2017 3C/3D guidelines on the possibility to vary an application while being under Section 3C.
