I applied Aug 21, 2018 and got my fbr cert June, 2019 and at the time that was a long wait due to in Brexit escapees. I can’t believe that this is now 1.5 year wait!! Covid just ruins everything!!

Update: I applied for my passport card, already holding a passport allows a person to apply online for the card and also renew. I applied yesterday, 35 euro plus 5 shipping to the USA. I will have to look for my receipt, I need to find it anyway... I may need a new one with a 3rd passport pocket (hahaha Scotland!) and additional card pockets for the passport cards.

I am happy to say that stage one of “Project Failte” is complete, I finally got to add the red book to the case. I had this case made in Ireland over a year ago when I started collecting the FBR documents.

Myself and 3 cousins all got notifications. Myself and one cousin applied at same time, same package. We both received emails, mine was received 10 mins after hers, suggesting that this step takes 10 mins, no verification of anything was requested. No, not the witness part at all! 1st set was too blurry 2nd - 4th set were wrong size. After the 1st set, the consulate told her to deliver the pictures and not to have them witnessed. Does anyone know if they do same day passports there? Like we do here in the United States. Since I’m going to be there, I was hoping to avoid the mailing, processing, etc. Only if it is an emergency . Otherwise, the minimum for passport renewals is three days. But obviously, you won't be a renewal...
