I applied 2 years ago today and not heard a sausage since. The website has consistently said the waiting time is 12-18 months throughout that time The wait goes on.

I applied on August 2018 and got my FBR in June 2019, then my passport in August 2019

I applied Aug 21, 2018 and got my fbr cert June, 2019 and at the time that was a long wait due to in Brexit escapees. I can’t believe that this is now 1.5 year wait!! Covid just ruins everything!!

Just checking and it seems things have got much worse since I received my FBR/Passport.

Passport card received, 11 days total including 2 Sundays, 1 Saturday and 1 holiday

Update: I applied for my passport card, already holding a passport allows a person to apply online for the card and also renew. I applied yesterday, 35 euro plus 5 shipping to the USA. I checked the tracker this morning and it is already being printed.. on a Sunday! Also, In regards to the passport ...

I will have to look for my receipt, I need to find it anyway... I may need a new one with a 3rd passport pocket (hahaha Scotland!) and additional card pockets for the passport cards.

I am happy to say that stage one of “Project Failte” is complete, I finally got to add the red book to the case. I had this case made in Ireland over a year ago when I started collecting the FBR documents.

Myself and 3 cousins all got notifications. Myself and one cousin applied at same time, same package. We both received emails, mine was received 10 mins after hers, suggesting that this step takes 10 mins, no verification of anything was requested. Our FBR certs and corresponding letters were signed...

Does anyone know if they do same day passports there? Like we do here in the United States.
