Re: SET M application rejected - wrong Eng Lang test

Hi the exact same scenario happened to me and I was given flr. I however haven’t received a refund of the difference. Did you write a letter to them? As I was told they normally refund it after 90 days. I haven’t written a letter and the 90 days have passed. Too early to check for the refund but th...

SET M application rejected - wrong Eng Lang test

We submitted the SET (M) ILR application on 15th August and heard nothing, not even in junk folder, for over 12 weeks after which we asked our MP to chase it up in mid November. Three weeks later we received a letter advising that as my wife had mistakenly taken the A1 test instead of B1, they would...

Re: SET(M) 5 years ONLINE application - takes longer?

It was my 4 month anniversary yesterday. Really hope I get before Xmas! Response from my MP ( after two weeks and one phone reminder) "Thanks for your email. As you point out, normally you'd only hear from the Home Office if something is wrong or they need to clarify something, but given what has h...

Re: SET(M) 5 years ONLINE application - takes longer?

Hi nick0811 Mine has finally been approved. Received BRP on Tuesday! Sent application on 20th Aug via Postal. I think yours should hopefully be processed very soon, as you sent it before me. It's been a long wait for all of us Now waiting for my docs to be returned. Hope they haven't lost them :? H...

Re: SET(M) 5 years ONLINE application - takes longer?

Indeed there are one or two approvals trickling through but it is at least good that this forum allows us to realise that we are not alone and our three month submission anniversary is tomorrow! What is really irritating is why they need to keep my British passport as well as my wife's :?: No respon...

Re: SET(M) 5 years ONLINE application - takes longer?

Acknowledgement emails are sent every month and I found both of my emails in my Junk Mail. They come from 'UK Visa & Immigration' and are sent at 11.04am. All they say is we are considering your application :| Sent SET(M) application on 20th Aug and received emails 6th September and 5th October. St...

Re: SET(M) 5 years ONLINE application - takes longer?

Hi Ally, Yes we tried but not even a response - it seems they accept only five applications per day Mon-Thu and none on Friday! The delay is in some ways understandable but the failure to provide progress updates and or permit enquiry is very primitive. I can travel in spite of my UK PP being in the...

Re: SET(M) 5 years ONLINE application - takes longer?

We sent our SET (M) by post on 15 Aug - seems like there is a backlog in respect of mid Aug applications. I am
off on half term holiday with my daughter tomorrow leaving my poor wife behind - it sucks!

Re: SET(M) 5 years ONLINE application - takes longer?

Sorry - I should have said we completed biometrics on 5 SEP rather than BRP completed. We have checked our spam and also called the hotline who advised that it is not automatic to send out progress emails.

Re: SET(M) 5 years ONLINE application - takes longer?

I wish the time limit stated for postal applications was the 4-9 weeks stated. We applied for SET M ILR on 15 Aug 2018, BRP completed 5 Sep 2018 and not even any acknowledgement since then. We cannot complain before the 3 month deadline and have just asked my wife's employer to chase via ECS based o...
