Re: New ILR process, Time to decision

Hi Guys, So I just want to share my experience with you. It was positive, all things being considered. My 28 days started on the 7th of December. Because of how hard it was to find a centre with the old system, I submitted my application on the 3rd of november and booked an appointment for saturday ...

Re: Social Groups and Cultural ties

Hi fassika. The text you have quoted is referring to "Social networks" and not "Social Media". I believe it is not about social media etc. And that's fine. Please interpret it as you wish. I am in no way stating that this is how you should apply. I just gave my opinion on what I did when I applied....

Re: Social Groups and Cultural ties

Hi fassika, Where does it state about social media etc? I answered it NO as I believe they are asking about any social and culture ties so for that you have to visit frequently. Very confusing and I dont understand the need of it. Are you part of any social groups or do you have other cultural ties...

Re: Social Groups and Cultural ties

This is not about social groups on social media  If you go back home often, visit friends and family or belong to a cultural/social group back in your home country, then you have cultural ties there. Hey Zimba, They actually state, (eg. social media etc........) which is why I answered it in t...

Re: New VCAS system, Super confusing

It says: "If you apply on or before 29 November 2018, you can choose to use the existing service and enrol your biometric information at the Post Office or a Premium Service Centre. " Does this mean that the premium service appointment for application consideration must be on or before 29 November ...

Re: Social Groups and Cultural ties

Hi all, I am applying for an indefinite leave to remain based on the new online SET-M form, 5 year route. A question came up which is a bit confusing: "Are you part of any social groups or do you have other cultural ties in your country of birth, nationality or any other country where you have live...

Re: SET(M) - Applying online after 29 November

Thanks fassika for your confirmation. I have another query regarding the eligibility criteria. As per the ILR rules the eligibility criteria suggest that we are not eligible until 28 days before the 5 years continuous living in UK period. With the introduction of online application are we allowed t...

Re: Premium Service appointment booking issue for ILR (LR)

So, has it been confirmed that there will not be any appointments after the end of November? Or is it still a technical issue? I don't think its good practice by the home office to not communicate changes with definitive dates. The service the home office provides is extremely poor. Hi fasssika, I ...

Hi Guys, Just wanted to confirm that my five years of watching the application prices increase will be over in January. Came to the UK in May 2012, got married Aug 2013 and applied and got Leave to Remain as a spouse in January 2014. Am I eligible to apply for SET(M) in January next year? The hubs, ...
