That is unbelievable and shocking. Something like this happening in "democratic" country... Very worrying - showing that all the governments have similarities (fashist / "democratic" (irish) / communist...)

Hi jack_in_the box, yeah, maybe you could contact your EU spouse's embassy and ask how to get residency in that country, if it is easy enough, do it and re-apply for EU1 with that residency. Then thy would probably give you 5 year residence card. Also appeal DoJ's decision , that will give you few m...

Yes, I think it is very good idea to do that if you have a chance. Get the normal work permit and wait for the outcome of EU1, because if they deny your EU1, at least you will feel more secure. Anyway, if they deny EU1, you still can appeal to it and that takes another few months... I think you can ...

hi ves, what i think you should do next is to go to immigrant council of ireland (in dublin), tell them about your situation and they will help you to create an appeal letter. they would even send it on your behalf if you like. that will create some more time for you and if you describe your situati...

It is just a load of bu......reaucracy. You expect this to happen in the USSR or China, or on the border of Afghanistan. But just harassing people for no apparent reason, or just frustration of the official that he doesn't know your rights. For this reason we have stayed in this godforsaken country...

Hi, I think everybody is very confused here. I don't want to say that I know everything (of course, I don't), but from our experience I assume this: -If you go to GNIB with EU1 refusal letter from DoJ, they give you NOTHING (from our experience 2 day ago) -If you go to GNIB with EU1 approval letter ...

your friend might try this: http://www.entemp.ie/labour/workpermits/marriedtoeu.htm ......... Thanks greengrass for your positive words. I agree with you, if you don't have any letter from DoJ, or DETE, do not go to GNIB! GNIB is just the bottom line and they just do what their boss (DoJ, or DETE) ...

Another news from Burgh Quay. My wife just left that place after 5h waiting. The haven't given her anything. They said she is illegal as the stamp in her passport is over 1 year expired (doesn't matter that she has been waiting for her EU1 application over the illegal period of time and that it was ...

Guys, my friend went today to Burgh Quay and got Stamp 3 for 6 months. He is married to EU national and his EU1 application was refused previously. He paid EUR 100 for that. He cannot work, but can travel in/out.

Yes, that is the crappy EU service where I asked before I came to Ireland, if my wife can work and live with me here without any problems and they assured me that she can, because of the free movement of people within EU. And it was not true.

I am asking about Kumar's case, because I thin...
