Referees - What exactly is requested

Hi On the application page, they warn that I'd need 3 things - UK Life est, English lang test, and referees . I wonder what exactly they'd ask for as referees. I found a form online - would they ask to upload those forms filled? Or should I just share their contact details, so that the HO workers ch...

Moving from England to Scotland while Applying

Hi Friends, I'll qualify for citizenship soon but I might also need to move from England to Scotland while waiting for the decision. I wonder if it's something that might cause problems in general? Or maybe problems with discrepancies in legislation? Will I still be considered under the English rule...

Re: Tier 1 ILR: Part 2 Consent and Documents

Thank you AmazonianX! One more question is, whether the electronic signature be enough for the Consent Form? The signature I can insert is not totally fake like in DocuSigns - it's actually my real signature just scanned and digitalised. I have this signature in one other document, so they'll know t...

Tier 1 ILR: Part 2 Consent and Documents

Hello friends, A couple of questions about my Tier 1 ILR application: 1) Consent form Part 2. Does it mean I should leave it blank if all my documents - payslips, contract, employer's letter etc - are only about me? Say, I don't have any shared accounts. 2) In the Declaration, there are Mandatory do...

Reporting Unemployed Status to Police

Hi folks,

The police reporting rules state you need to report the change of your employer & working address - but should you actually report the fact that you don't currently have an employer/work address? Say, once you left your job but haven't yet found a new one.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Settlement requirements - wording changed

I'm wondering when the earnings should take place to qualify? Back in Exceptional Talent times, only the "most recent" ones were accepted. Now, is it ANY earnings that qualify? My question regards the earnings themselves not the evidence of them. There is no 'most recent' as you can see. Actually, ...

Re: Settlement requirements - wording changed

I have one question about earnings too. What do they mean as independent source. I assume it’s payslips and bank statements? Evidence examples can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/send-evidence-for-your-global-talent-extension-or-settlement-application/send-evidence-for-you...

Settlement requirements - wording changed

Hello I've got my visa before it became Global Talent (called Exceptional Talent back then). As I need to apply for settlement under the new Global Talent rules, I'm curious about one of the few differences. As an Exceptional Talent visa holder, you needed to earn money in the UK the most recent tim...

Umbrella Company - UK Employer?

Hi all! I start working as a contractor but I intend to do so via an Umbrella company. As I'm aware the evidence I need to show on settlement is the letter 'from a UK employer'. So maybe someone knows if an Umbrella company is still considered as "a UK employer"? I'm asking because my employer who'd...

No but you'll have difficulty applying for settlement on the basis of your visa, if you have such plans.

V_i_k_i, what role did you apply for?

If you were endorsed by TechNation and you're in London, maybe I can help. :)
I'm a game designer - so it's not quite technical but close :)

Re: Name of work permit

In my opinion, if employer is unable to spend 10 minutes to learn about this visa route and do the online check described in this topic (https://www.immigrationboards.com/general-uk-immigration-forum/online-right-to-work-checks-t270094.html), you probably should not work for them. It's true, but no...

Re: Name of work permit

The link below clearly states what you can and can't do. https://www.gov.uk/tier-1-exceptional-talent What jobs or type of jobs exactly are you applying for? I know the route's limits, but I think they have little sense just because this route is not for doctors or sportsmen either. So I obviously ...

Name of work permit

Hi all, I found out that many employers are unaware of ET work permit and that may cause problems for us talents. When I stated that I have a permit for 5 years, they still refused me because they thought they need to provide me with a new sponsorship before taking me on board! The question they ask...

Police Registration Regulations

Hi all, As a newcomer, now I often move houses (once a month now, moving to different counties). But trying to register on my new place, I was given an appointment for a later date, up to which I'm going to change address again, not saying about breaking the 7-day rule. I asked them about these corn...

Re: Address, phone & date in Stage 2 Application

I've found the following lines at gov.uk: You have to collect your biometric residence permit within 10 days of when you said you’d arrive in the UK (even if you actually arrive at a later date). That means, they use the date you give to time your BRP delivery. So, it's important and you shouldn't b...

Address, phone & date in Stage 2 Application

Hi! In some documents on Stage 2, you need to specify your UK address & UK phone number. But it's normal for the newly-endorsed ones not to have this info yet. Another question is planned date of trip. As I understand this visa & the process, your date is ASAP, and the field should not be applicable...

I had the same question but according to my research, it's only the rule of Tech Nation. I searched with ctrl+F through the whole page but only TN mentioned this 2 pages rule. I'm not 100% sure of course, but if you can't find it in the guidelines and on the official Arts Council page, that means th...

Hi, It needs to reach within 15working days to them! You send post to UKVI and they will send it to the designated endorsement body. Thank you! Could you please specify, is it 15 days to reach the address they give? Or to reach the needed Body completely? The address given is not likely to be the a...

Timeline of sending papers stage 1

Hi all! According to guides, I should send my papers within 15 working days since I submitted online. The question is - should the letter be already there after these 15 days, or should I just bring it to post within the period? The first variant is not described clearly anywhere, but some things su...
