You can register a company but you cannot work as a contractor and bill it to your company. it is illegal.

I applied for the extension last year and at that time my salary was incremented from £28000 to £32000. We did not inform the HO and everything went fine. As this is an annual increase for everybody, does my employer still have to inform the HO?

I applied for my extension last year. I don't know the new service but I did send my Payslips + BRP + Passport + Photos. I think it is best to send the Payslips of at-least last 3 months. I used the standard service and got the reply within a week.
