Re: Foreign Birth Registration

After reading this forum it doesn’t surprise me that a large portion of applications just get hung up or people are asked to provide further documentation.

Just follow the guidelines people!

No no time frame. The agent just mentioned she was processing my application and was verifying my home address. I'm just guessing it'll be soon. I had a very straight forward application.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Update: Received email confirming address today Sept 29, 2019. It states in the email that I will need to be there to sign for the package. Does anyone know if they will warn you prior to date of arrival? Or if I am not home would they bring it to the local post office? Might be a Canada specific p...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

My application was received January 16th. Straight forward application with no complexities. I double triple quadruple checked to make sure I included everything I needed. 2 months have already flown by because I didn’t really think much of it until this morning. Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

I created a dummy application as well just to see if the new applications ask for 4 photos at the end. They don’t. It asked for 2 photos as well. I’m guessing there’s a mix up. I think the passport application might require 4 photos, but the fbr application shouldn’t.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Pretty sure, almost positive, my application online was already submitted prior to this change. Interesting how they just change things willy nilly. I applied about 4 days ago...that’s how new this change is. When I get home I will verify that it was 2 photos. I have my printed application at home,...

Re: Just realized I only sent two passport size photos with my FBR application...

I wonder if they just updated what one needs for the application?

I could have sworn every time I checked the requirements it just asked for two photos, now it says send four of them and two must be signed?

Just realized I only sent two passport size photos with my FBR application...

I double and triple checked everything.

I completely missed the part that asks for 4 photos...I only sent my two signed passport photos.

Ugh I feel sick.

Several urgent questions before sending off FBR application

I have everything ready to mail off my fbr application today. My only issues are: 1)my witness, whom is a lawyer, put his personal address and phone number. He then drew a line through these and listed his businsss address and phone. They are also show on his business card. Will this be an issue? 2)...

Will my FBR passport photos get rejected?

The photo quality themselves are fine, but I cut one down to 35x44 instead of 35x45mm. The other one is fine at 35x45m. Will they most likely reject these?

I guess worst case scenario is they have me redue them.

What size passport photo for FBR application?

Could someone clear up exactly what size the two photos need to be when submitting the FBR application? Also, does the witness just sign and date the back of both?

Last thing I have to do before submitting. Thanks!

PS bonus...what’s the best international express delivery method? Thanks!

FBR 2 part question about notary and witness

Ok so I think this is my last few questions. Thank you all who have helped so far! 1) The notary just has to notarized a copy of my and my father’s passport photo page correct? So I’ll just make a copy of them in front of notary, then they will notarized them? 2) My witness is a friend who is also a...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration- how to include photos

I saw something about how the photos need to be a different size than the standard US American passport size, is that true as well? Not to hijack your thread!

Also, does the place taking the photo have to sign the back as well? Or just the witness?
