Re: Royal Society Refusal feedback

The reason was the same as yours. Applicant’s track record and contributions to the field to date, relative to career stage, were not strong enough. Reason was quite ambiguous, so I had to appeal. There was a separate email with a pdf, but that didn’t give any further details. It was the exact same ...

Re: Royal Society Refusal feedback

My application was refused. I’ve currently requested for a review. How long did it take for you to get a response after requesting for a review?

Re: STAGE 2 Application

If you’re planning to settle in the UK, then I think the option you’ll choose is settle. The next question would be where you’ll stay and how you’ll maintain yourself when you arrive until when you have a source of income. So prepare to have answers to those questions. There might be a section for y...

Re: Question to meet research fellowship criterion for T-1 visa

A fellow member called D_social posted that he got his endorsement from the Royal Academy without any International Fellowships, but in his case he had numerous publication. Hi there, While going through the eligibility criteria in policy guidance document, I came across the following mandatory clau...

Re: Royal Society Refusal feedback

My case is similar to yours. I have a PhD, have published research papers and currently work in industry. I haven't heard back after submitting my stage 1 application so still waiting. Less rejection and very few apply to Royal Society I guess, could be the reason. I need detailed feedback to appeal...

Re: Royal Society Refusal feedback

Well, from the non-response of members to your question, it seems that rejections might not be common. Are you appealing their decision or why exactly do you need a detailed reason for the rejection? Yes My qualifications are obtained from UK and working in research and development in industry. I am...

Re: Royal Society Refusal feedback

From what you posted, they have already provided the feedback. The following is of note: “applicant’s track record and contributions to the field to date, relative to career stage”. I’m quite surprised that with your PhD and research papers you were not endorsed. If you don’t mind me asking, were yo...

Hi Gcoast,

it depends on the designated body, Tech Nation and Royal Academy of Eng. are different and require a different set of documents to be sent.

Regards.

Re: My Tier-1 Visa Timeline: Royal Academy of Engineering

Thank you Shri30.

I was able to find the Caseworker Guidance and confirmed that it was just those two items. I’ve submitted the application and posted the CV and letter.

Hi Gcoast

It would be only two things you need to send by post i.e. reference letter and CV.

Re: Royal Society Refusal feedback

If you give some details about your application without being specific, it might encourage others to respond. When did you submit your application? When did you get your URN? Did you apply for Exceptional Promise or Talent? Do you have a PhD? Have you published any research articles? Did you have a ...

Re: My Tier-1 Visa Timeline: Royal Academy of Engineering

Hi Shri and D_Social

What were the items listed on your checklist generated at the end of your stage 1 application?

Was there a request for 10 items of evidence for your application? Or just 2 items i.e. letter of reference and CV?

Re: FLR FP Appeal to Tier 2 Visa

The decision was reconsidered and I was given an in-country right if appeal. If I leave the country the country and apply from our outside, would I be considered as switching from Tier 4 or it would be considered as if I was never in the UK. Also if I leave the country and then direct my solicitor t...

FLR FP Appeal to Tier 2 Visa

I was last on a Tier 4 Visa. Before expiration of that Visa I applied for an FLR FP Visa. It was rejected with an in country right of appeal. I’m currently appealing the decision at the tribunal.

During the appeal process can I switch to a Tier 2 Visa if I find a sponsor?

It seems they complied. I guess I'll confirm on the day I go for my first reporting. What does it state on the bail sta...

Re: FLR (FP) Refused (Out of Country Appeal) Urgent Advice needed

We both had valid leave up till when we made our application. The basis of refusal was that I hadn't lived in the UK for 20 years and my child was not up to 7 years in the UK. Very sorry to hear this. As you're both non EEA and presume both without valid leave it might be harder route What was the b...
