Re: March 2015 Naturalization application timeline

Cw most likely coundn't care less about this board. It's best to come back to the point of the thread. It's quite annoying to see that the topic has been updated, only to find out that it's full of irrelevant jokes. I agree to the above comment. I know the jokes are not made with wrong intention, b...

Re: March 2015 Naturalization application timeline

Dear All, I have applied for my naturalization in 31st March 2015 and till to-date I have only received an acknowledgement letter and my fee was deducted. I never received a biometric letter. Is that normal ? I also heard that applicants who applied before 6th April they will not receive bio metric...

Re: Applying for British Passport online

Hi all, I got my son's certificate of registration as a British Citizen recently and decided to use the online application form. It clearly asked for both parent's detail in the application. I filled in the application on 24th April so I don't know if they have made these changes recently or not. I ...

Re: Family Visitor Visa Documents query

We submitted the application on 25th March at Gerrys office. And my family was told not to submit any originals as HO won't return them back. So my family submitted all attested photo copied docs apart from the passport and photos and obviously bank statement original. Got the call from Gerrys on 9...

Hi,

can you confirm if you get the originals back if you attach originals with application along with their copies?

Re: Family Visitor Visa Documents query

I recently applied for my mum in Pakistan. I sent all the docs in PDF format via email - even the invitation/declaration letter and the letter from landlord. I had no issues with it - visa granted within 2 weeks. Hi, Thanks for confirming, thats what I had thought as well but got confused after loo...

Family Visitor Visa Documents query

Hi,

I want to invite my mother in law to visit us here in the UK. I wanted to ask how should I send them my documents? Do I have to send my original bank statements/payslips etc to her or scanned copies of all these documents would suffice?

Thanks

Re: ILR - English requirement (Tier 1 General)

Hi, This is a bit tricky I think. I personally feel that I should not have needed to attach the IELTS certificate but so as I had it. I think it is better to send an email to Home Office and confirm if they would need the original or its not needed as you have already proven your skills in previous ...

Re: ILR (from Tier1 General) Success at PEO Croydon - 17 Mar

hi KM, Thanks a lot for your reply. The only difference is that you did get a visa for your second child separately whereas in my case since there were no plans for him to travel outside UK, I did not get dependant visa for him. Is it still Ok to not include him in ILR and directly apply for MN1 on...

Re: ILR (from Tier1 General) Success at PEO Croydon - 17 Mar

Hi, My current Tier1 (G) extension was expiring on 14 May 2014 but our qualifying period started around 10 March as our initial application was granted from 1st April 2009 and I was here in UK on 7th April. So if you take that into account, my 5 years would have completed on 7th April 2014 and 28 da...

Re: ILR (from Tier1 General) Success at PEO Croydon - 17 Mar

Hi, we used the trinity college exam (GESE B1), this is the last exam on the approved tests list. This is probably the easiest exam to take and pass. It costs slightly more than some of the others but definitely recommended if you are in a hurry and don't have much time as you can get dates easily, ...

Re: Cohabitation documents for PBS dependant ILR

Hi, I think these should be fine. I have used almost exactly the same set of documents with my application for ILR yesterday and it was successful. I think you only need 6 letters if they are in both person's names. In my opinion, a bank statement is only for one month so if you have attached the st...
