HSMP with current employer

Hi All, I have got my EC stamped for 2 years, now my employer would like to send me to UK. I have few queries. 1) Can I travel to UK with HSMP visa and work with my current employer in UK. 2) Can I apply for work permit. 3) Apart from Salary is there any other disadvantage of the above? Applied for EC on : 27.02.2008
Location : Pune VFS
Integra : Done (Dont Know When)
Final Result : EC granted for 2 years.

Hi Mate, I have applied on 27 Feb 2008 from VFS pune. Ideally it takes 18 - 20 working days. So we can expect the result by March end. Keep posted on your progress. Best of luck. Try mailing them abt teh additional information to Chennai.VisaEnquiry@fco.gov.uk.
