Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

Please how can I request for personal data under FOI? It's really, really easy. Complete this form . The only bit that's not completely self-explanatory is "I request the following records: " What I wrote there was: "ALL PERSONAL RECORDS HELD BY THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND EQUALITY REGARDING [my ...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

Hi. Would you please let me know when did you get approval? I got approval in Oct 2018 and I applied in April 2016. Thanks for the reply. I think at this time because of the Judge statement they are not going to send approvals until it is resolved. Just don’t know for how long we’ll have to wait.

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

Hello Guys, I am back here after a long time. I already suggested you all that you must go to court but some people are too scared to go to court because it may make the department angry and they may get refusal. I made a mistake to go to court after 2.5 years. I should have gone after 1 year as I ...

Re: Relocating while awaiting application is being processed

Thanks all for the replies. I'll let you know how I get on. I had to create another account as the Admin of this website did not help with the password retrieval of the account I used for my question (despite numerous emails) Hi Would you please let me know about it. Will it affect the application?...

Re: Relocating while awaiting application is being processed

Hi, I am in a similar situation with my wife. She is from the US and will be putting in her application next Jan. We have been offered a temporary posting for a project in another EU country through my employer. So my query is will my wife's application be affected if she moves away for 6-12 months...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

And why they are holding on decisions for those applicants who didn’t go out not even a single day prior to the submission of application? Whenever they are asked about the delay they always say that there is a huge backlog but surprisingly they already approved few applications who applied in 2019 ...

Re: GNIB expiring in the end of October

Hi, I am more or less in the same situation. If you want to try to book an appointment earlier they release every day between 2:00 pm and 02:30 pm new appointments date. Yesterday they released to the 14th and 15th of September. But, in 15 min it was finished. So, you need to be sharp. Hi I live ou...

Re: GNIB expiring in the end of October

[quote=littlerr post_id=1825264 time=1568319372 user_id=199420] It’s a new stamp and a new card. The stamp number is the same as your current stamp number. You just bring all the necessary documents as if you are renewing your stamp. For naturalisation purposes, INIS just need to make sure that you ...

Re: GNIB expiring in the end of October

A short temporary extension (up to 3 months) is usually free. You can even try walk-in (if you have a valid genuine reason). The counter staff are normally quite generous about giving tickets away. I did it two years ago. My fiancée did it once last year and once this year. All without appointments...

Hmm.. that's a really good point actually. Honestly I have a hard time imagining the ceremony happening before your GNIB card arrives but don't take my word for it! I thought you just didn't want to pay the €300 (I certainly wouldn't!)
I was told on phone that there are no charges for it.

Re: GNIB expiring in the end of October

http://www.inis.gov.ie/ says they will be sending letters with 4 weeks' notice, and the Dail hasn't even sat yet, so I'd say October is really optimistic. If I were you, I'd schedule the appointment for just before the GNIB card expires and if in fact the ceremony is before that, you can cancel. Th...

My GNIB is expiring in the end of October. I was hoping to get approval for September Ceremony but now I don’t understand whether I should go and renew it now or wait until Ceremony date will be announced? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
