Given the pattern, I think Section 6(1) applications mid-late June are processed now....
and applications on basis of BC spouse or EU route are processed quicker...
I sure think its down to BREXIT. They may be prioritizing EU application due to the looming deadlines

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

So it appears they are going somewhat by IDV biometrics submission date. My biometrics submission was 5th September (application 25 June) and nothing yet No. Seems like in order of the date of registration with UKVI/UKVCAS. UKVI have told us that they aim to deal with ALL applications in date order...

Just got my approval email today, with just the IDV submission (28/8/2020) However, last Friday I sent email to request for Status update, I don’t know if that might have yielded a quicker result. Application submitted online on 13/06/2020 Good luck and many thanks to all. Mostly to @ CR001 & C...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

I may be wrong but I strongly believe IDV submissions are the bottle neck and HO isn't prioritising naturalisation applications. Is possible they can half their permanent migration team to prioritise ILR and Tier 2 application due to the current health and economic crisis?

@littlebuns My wife and kids are British Citizens. However, I have only had religious marriage in UK so not married as per UK law. So I had to go for Section 6(1). Question from a mate, guys. He has booked an appointment for Monday the 28th but is going on a business meeting in Brussels. Can he change it on the UKVCAS website. And another one.... day after biometric appointment at UKVCAS I receive approval email. I am sure that IDV works for some, but there is a clear pattern of people submitting IDV and waiting for weeks and yet after physical appointment they get decision in day or two, sometimes within hours. Anyway, ...

I have news! Not sure if you saw my previous post, did the initial IDV app submission on 27/08. Attended my in-person biometric today 23/09 10:15am and then got my approval email today at 1pm. That's 2.5hrs roughly. Not sure if my in-person appt pushed mine or it was already being considered. here'...
