Re: Change of status for spouse - appointment needed or not?

I would suggest to book an appointment just to avoid any issues or delays when you get there. I don't think Stamp 4 were ever granted for 5 years to spouses of Irish citizen, back in the day they were granting 1 year first, then 2 years and then 2 years again but nowadays it could be different. The...

Change of status for spouse - appointment needed or not?

Hi everyone, My question relates to change of status from stamp 3 to stamp 4. I was recently granted citizenship and was told that my spouse can now automatically get a stamp 4. However, I received conflicting replies from the deparment in this regard - one says we need to book an appointment via on...

Re: Citizenship - can you leave while waiting

This is really interesting. What do you mean by registering annually? Registering where? Doesn’t make sense to restrict anyone’s movement - people move for different reasons. Surely, everyone who moved to Australia, UK, US and Canada would have their citizenship stripped years ago Brilliant response...

Re: Next Ceremony 26th November at Killarney

Hi guys,

I’m confused - are there more ceremonies on 26th? I know there is one at 10 am, am I missing something?

Also, has anyone received approval last week and got the invitation letter?

Thanks! :)

I guess I’m concerned it’s taking this long. What if it’s a rejection? Does anyone know if there are many rejections at final stage?

Re: Final stage of citizenship application

Applied in May 2017, both on the basis of residency and by association. Received second stage letter in July, was told in September it was being prepped to go to the Minister, then that it was submitted to the Minister and shouldn’t be too long until I’ve heard back, and when I rang last week was to...

Re: GNIB appointments don't leave enough time to apply for EU1

Get help from someone who's good with computers. What a lot of people do is attach a web add-in onto the inis page, which lets them automatically show and book available appointments. There's loads on google about it.

Final stage of citizenship application

Hi Does anyone know what final stage means? About 5 weeks ago, I was told that my application was submitted to the Minister for a decision. Since I've not heard back in 5 weeks, I rang again last week and was told that it's in final stages - but still no word on a decision. Any advice? Experience to...
