He won't have been home for a number of years now due to covid so we wanted to take a longer trip...and will hopefully be able to travel next year! I only realised today however that his current IRP expires in less than 5 ...

Citizenship Application and Social Welfare Claims (Temporary Wage Subsidy))

Hi All, I'm just in the process of filling out a citizenship application for my husband. I've come across this question: "9.5 Have you received a Social Assistance payment or other State support in the past 3 years?" I just realized that my husband received the temporary wage subsidy payment from hi...

Re: Proof of Address Citizenship Application

Thanks. Neither of us have any utility bills because we have been living with my family the past 3 years trying to save for a house. I have bank statements for him and P60s/tax credit certificate and P21s. Really struggling for a 3rd proof of address though. His payslips dont have address on them, h...

Re: Stamp 4 Renewal

Perfect thanks. We never got an original permission letter, we have an email from Citizenship stating this that they told us to print and bring. We will have them sign a letter and maybe bring one of their mortgage statements.

Thanks.

Re: Stamp 4 Renewal

Thanks. Does anyone know what you should bring with you to renew stamp 4 on basis of marriage to Irish Citizen? The list they sent us says recent utility bill or bank statement AND letter from Landlord or RTB. We don't have a landlord as we live with my parents. We are Sale Agreed on a house current...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

I have written to both of my TD's this afternoon about this. I have already had a reply from one saying they had a huge series of urgent queries with the minister around this and will get back to me once they hear more.

Stamp 4 Renewal

Hi All, My husband is due to renew his stamp 4 in our local garda station in 4 weeks time. Does anyone know how much time you are allowed to spend outside Ireland on a stamp 4? We have only been outside Ireland for up to 4 weeks for each of the last 3 years, on holidays etc. only. This judges ruling...

Re: Missing Letter for Stamp 4

Nothing yet we are waiting for a response. We have written to them a number of times about it and have no additional response other than the original one stating that there was no letter on file for us. He already has a stamp 4 but for renewal it says we need the letter which we never received.

Re: Missing Letter for Stamp 4

Hi, my husband never received one either. We emailed them and they said there was none on file for him. Would be interested to see others who are the same and what they did.

Early Renewal of Stamp 4

My husbands Stamp 4 is due to expire mid September. We are traveling on the 1st of October. We live outside Dublin and register at the local Garda Station. I'm worried if we only renew in September we wont get the new card back on time to travel as when he got the card last time they were delayed by...

Re: Citizenship application based on marriage to Irish Citizen

Anything that can be verified against is acceptable. So yes all of these letters you mentioned are acceptable. Thanks. I was kind of worried about using the Credit Union Statement because I found this on the INIS website: "Documents you cannot use Documents that do not show your name and address Ba...

Re: Citizenship application based on marriage to Irish Citizen

I sent them an email, but I never thought to attach the reply to the application. Thanks. I'm just worried in case our third pr...

Citizenship application based on marriage to Irish Citizen

I will be trying to prepare my husbands application for Irish Citizenship the end of this year. I'm a little bit confused about documents to use as proof of address/residency though. We have to supply 3 proof of residency for each year of residency claimed. 2017 - Bank Statement, Credit Union Statem...

Re: Application for Citizenship and Entry/Exit Stamps

So will this even be brought up as an issue? Should I mention it in the application? I kept all boarding cards as proof in case. I just feel like they will see an entry stamp to Ireland and no other entry stamp to a different country showing I left and assume I've been out for ages with no proof in ...

Application for Citizenship and Entry/Exit Stamps

Hi, I wanted to apply for Citizenship. I have been living in Ireland for the last 3 years (Irish Spouse). We have only left the country for a few weeks here and there each year for a holiday, no longer than 2 weeks at a time, and no more than 6 weeks in any year. One year the two of us visited the U...
