Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

P60s etc are only required as proof of residence in the UK if the applicant's passport isn't stamped on entry/exit from the UK. When I applied online it explained that non-EU/EEA applicants can just submit their passports as evidence of living in the UK, while EU/EEA applicants must submit alternat...

Apologies if I am asking too many questions as I just want to correct the problem if I have done any mistake. Thank you P60s etc are only required as proof of r...

just to prove resdence just ur pasport u dont need to send tax doucoment or anything elss
This is only the case for non-EU/EEA applicants. If a passport isn't stamped on entry or exit from the UK it doesn't show when someone was living in the UK.

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hi all, I needed some advice on applying for my naturalisation. I am applying through the spousal route and received my ILR in February. I spoke to UKVI and they told me to check with my council regarding booking an appt before submitting the application online as I need to make sure it is within 1...

A fellow non-EU friend had hers approved recently, without submitting any of those. No harm in submitting I guess, but no need either from what I can tell!

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

Some councils (including my own local council) only allow you to book an appointment after submitting online – you cannot proceed without your payment confirmation reference. This seems risky to me so I found another council that is more flexible (and actually cheaper than mine!). Of course if you ...

Re: FROM ILR TO CITIZENSHIP

As trilobite says ‘yes’ you will be prudent and wise to make an appointment first. Make sure you have everything in place for your online application then make an appointment then submit the application. The Govt website says “Make an appointment You must contact a local authority to book an appoin...

Employment history - how to summarise past self-employment?

Hi there, I asked this question elsewhere but haven't had a response yet. I will shortly be applying through 5yr + 1yr ILR (Ancestry) route, non-EEA, using the NDRS+JCAP service. I have a question regarding the employment history section of the application. I was self employed until 2 years ago, fir...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

It depends on whether you are EU/EEA or not – it's my understanding that P60s/payslips etc are required for EU or EEA applicants because their passports aren't stamped on entry/exit to and from the UK, so don't serve as proof for continuous residence. If you are non-EU/EEA I believe you may just su...
