Re: ILR and Marriage - question as to route

Further to the above I think I have found the relevant rules but still I am not 100% sure that they apply. Paragraphs 281-282, possibly 284 and 287 as well on

ILR and Marriage - question as to route

Hello, My wife is able to apply for ILR from March 2021 after having done 5 years on ancestry in the UK. I want to check what visa would be best for myself as I have heard two different opinions from two lawyers. Some context: March 2016: My wife moves to UK and starts her Ancestry Visa April 2017: ...

Re: FLR(IR) Online Form Help

Hi All, Just thought I would post a follow up on my experience to help anyone else going through this process - I know it can be quite stressful at times! I filled in the FLR(IR) form online with myself as the main applicant - all pretty straightforward questions and easy to follow. When it got to t...

Re: FLR(IR) Online Form Help

Sorry to be a pain but another question regarding the documents - would I also need to take physical copies of the originals to the interview? Or would the uploaded ones be fine? I know I need to take my Passport/BRP but im thinking do I need to take months of bank statements, payslips and letters e...

FLR(IR) Online Form Help

Hi, I am in the process of completing my application online for FLR(IR) Category of Leave Dependant of a person who has limited leave to enter or remain in the UK - I am joining my spouse who is on her ancestry visa (2 years left) When I get to the section asking for documents and ticking them off t...

Re: Youth Mobility to FLR(IR)-Joining my spouse

Heya, Just to add to CR001 when I was filling out my application I seen this page which can answer a couple of your questions. From what I can tell neither of you send in your passport - you take it with you to the meeting and get it back once you are done there. As for not being able to travel whil...

Re: Youth Mobility to FLR(IR)-Joining my spouse

Thanks for the quick response CR001 - you have confirmed what I thought was correct. As for why we are not applying now, our wedding is next week so the time between that and our trip to NZ is a bit too small as I understand the HO will regard your application as void if you leave the country after ...

Youth Mobility to FLR(IR)-Joining my spouse

Hi All, I am getting to the end of my Tier 5 Youth Mobility visa and I am planning on applying as a dependant of my spouse. I plan to do the fast tracked service at the end of March when my current visa runs out April 20 so timing might be tight - I am leaving it this late as my spouse and I had pla...

Re: Dependent on Ancestry Visa

Hi Guys,

I have just noticed that the FLR(IR) form is now online rather than a paper and mail in copy, does this make much of a difference to sending in my documents? Or will I now take them to a appointment like other online applications seem to have to do?

Thanks,

Dependent on Ancestry Visa

Hi, I am looking to get some clarification around what is required in order to get a visa to stay longer. Some background info first: My partner (in 3rd year of 5 year ancestry visa, her first ancestry visa) and I (on last 6 months of Tier 5 youth mobility) have been together for coming up to a year...
