Re: Visa types/ gaps allowed for 10 year route?

Thank you very much for the reply.

One further question: Are there any exemptions to the 540 day limit for time outside of the UK over that 10 years? I ask as several three-month spans were outside the UK doing formal humanitarian work for the EU (while still based in London).

Visa types/ gaps allowed for 10 year route?

Hello, Curious if I will qualify for 10 year ILTR in 2022 as I've maintained a residence in the UK since 2012 on a combination of visitor visas, LTR(M), and Tier 4. I've never overstayed, but have periodically been out of the UK for several months for academic research, vacation, et al. Any guidance...

Covid-19: Applying for a Tier 4 from within the UK?

I entered the UK on a standard visitor visa in January to meet with academic colleagues, with the original plan to return to the United States to apply for a tier 4 visa to wrap up an ongoing PhD in the UK. With the Covid-19 changes and being stuck in the UK, is it possible to apply for a Tier 4 vis...

Tier 4 biometric information in the UK?

Currently residing in the UK on LTR but switching to Tier 4 this spring, is it possible to collect biometric data for my visa application while in the UK prior to submitting my Tier 4 application from the USA next month? (I don't live near an application support centre in the US.) Thanks for any ins...

Re: LTR(M) TO TIER 4

Thank you for the guidance.

One further question: If switching from LTR (M) to a Tier 4, are both full time and the newer part time Tier 4 visas adequate for continuing towards the 10-year ILR?

Appreciating your help!

LTR(M) TO TIER 4

As an American PhD student in the UK for the past seven years who is losing LTR(M) due to the ending of a relationship, I'm curious for advice on the following: 1) Is it possible to switch from a soon to be curtailed LTR(M) to a Tier 4 visa from within the UK (or is it only possible to apply from ou...
