Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Just wanted to give an update on my son’s FBR application. My last update I had indicated that I got a confirmation of address email. I decided to phone FBR to get a tracking number for the certificate and returned documents. The agent provided me with a tracking number and informed me that my son ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hi, It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, but I wanted to let you know that I received a confirmation of mailing address email so my son’s application will be processed shortly. I originally sent my son’s application directly to Dublin (from Canada). Date received by Dublin: Dec 6, 2018 Conf...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Fair enough, you guys have me questioning myself now! I would go to my Doctor but even that is no longer on the list on the FBR website! Here is a screenshot from my form, generated last week: I think it would be incredibly harsh if they rejected it considering this is exactly what it says, but as ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

I'm going to go with it and hope! It's unfortunate that there is inconsistent guidance about using bank managers as witnesses. Several online sources (Embassies and Consulates of Ireland) and the OPs application form say they are proper witnesses. But the DFA website, and the DFA representative (vi...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Did you stick the photos to the form or just attach with a paper clip? If signed on the back Im not sure how they can see that if I stick them to the paper ... I used a paperclip to attach the 2 photos, and did the same for my solicitor friend's business card as it was double-sided. After I had sub...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Pretty sure, almost positive, my application online was already submitted prior to this change. Interesting how they just change things willy nilly. I applied about 4 days ago...that’s how new this change is. I submitted my application, and FBR received it on Dec 6, 2018. I submitted 2 photos and m...

Foreign Birth Registration- how to include photos

I have a question about how to include photos with a Irish foreign births registration application. At the end of the Section E Witness part of the application, there is spot that includes boxes for where the passport sized photos go. Are we supposed to attach the photos to these boxes in some way? ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Hi, this is a question regarding an FBR child application. The FBR website contains the following text: You need to submit two passport-sized photographs with your application. Your witness must sign and date these photographs. If you're applying on behalf of a minor, you also need to submit two pas...
