Re: Spouse flight options

Very happy and surprised it all happened so quickly. Thanks to all who helped us on this forum.

I would say that you should make sure ALL your documents are vigorously checked and well-organized before sending them. Make it easy for the ECO to process and things should go well... good luck!

Spouse flight options

Once a Spouse visa has been issued, can the spouse arrive in the UK on a one-way ticket? It seems a return will expire or she won't need it for a few years. Thanks

Emails to junk box

I have applied for a Spouse visa, but I am worried that any emails from Home Office/Entry Clearance Officer will end up lost in my Junk email / Spam box. What email addresses can I 'whitelist' to be sure I get them?

Re: Accommodation requirements

It was the same for me last week with a council flat. The Council would not say they 'have no objection to my spouse staying in the the property' in their letter. Just stated I live there and there is enough space.

Maybe the govt should have a fixed form for landlords to complete..

Spouse visa Bio docs

I'm about to submit my online Application from UK, but have a few concerns, if anyone can advise. Does my spouse (abroad) need to take any supporting documents to her Bio appointment? I thought I submit them to Sheffield from here in UK - I have them all with me here. I am worried there won't be tim...

Spouse visa queries

I have a few questions about Spouse visa if you don't mind: - I get paid weekly one week in arrears (my work contract states this). Do I start my payslips from the date on the payslip and count 26 weeks forward, or maybe include one from the week before for 27 weeks? - I get paid weekly in varied am...

Re: wage slip bank statement help

Update: I found out that one company is the parent company, and the other is a subsidiary, at the same business address. What's the best way to satisfy HO that my payslips are from the same job/employer?

Re: wage slip bank statement help

I have the same problem, where the company name on my payslips is different from entries in my bank statements. Over 6 months, the first half are the same, then the next half are not matching. It's the same employer, and they said they were trying a new payroll system. Am I doomed?

Re: Sending Documents to Sheffield

I would also like to know about this. Is a printed return address sufficient or do we need to send an envelope? And can the supporting documents be sent from within the UK by the sponsor? In Nov 2018, I heard they changed the rules about photocopies? Which documents can NOT be sent to Sheffield as p...

Spouse visa pay entries

I work for Company X, formerly known as Company Y of the same address, owner, staff etc. All my payslips show Company X on them, but my bank statements show sometimes Company X or Company Y. The earnings payments match, just with different company names. I have no idea why. Could this affect my Spou...

Change job during Spouse visa application

Can anyone tell me if it's a bad idea for the UK sponsor to change local employer after submitting a spouse visa application, but before the visa is approved?

Universal Credit before Spouse visa application

In January I will be applying for a spouse visa for my wife. I recently got a wage increase and also earned overtime, which will mean that I should achieve the minimum income over six months as a non-salaried sponsor. I have also received some Universal Credit payments, and I know these won't count ...
