Re: How much money are you planning to spend on your visit to the UK?

I had exactly the same issue and I am so furious at them. I don't understand how they cannot read all the ther supporting documents and sponsorship form which clearly states that the sponsor will meet the entire cost. I am reapplying for my Mum and I tried to put zero in how much the trip will cost ...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

I do hope they clear the backlogs and everyone gets a positive decision. I received a letter on the 7th January 2019 (dated 2nd January 2019)from Home Office apologising about the delay and a refund of £610 (I have not received the refund yet though). I did not request for a refund yet but it appear...

Re: Tier 2 dependent to ILR

Is anyone know any successful case of ILR that the PBS dependent granted or extended leave of remain BEFORE 11 Jan 2018, AND has more than 180 days absence AFTER 11 Jan 2018? I don't know how can I interpret that wrong, but the fact is better~ You are wrong. It specifically states visas granted acc...

Re: Tier 2 dependent to ILR

The example cited on the link cyclina1 posted clearly states "You must not include any absence from the UK during periods of leave granted under the Rules in place before 11 January 2018 towards the 180 days allowable absences. For example, if a dependant’s qualifying period includes initial leave g...

Re: Tier 2 dependent to ILR

Hi Srisath, As far as I understand from the guidelines, it only applies to dependants who had their leave granted after 11th January 2018 which is when the change came into place. So if any of your leave or extension was granted after 11th Jan 2018, then the 180 days will apply to you and any absenc...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

It has been a very painful wait and I finally have an update. Please see my timeline below. For reference, I am applying for ILR using Set O Form (Tier 2 Dependant). My husband got his ILR last week in November 2018. Application online: 27th Nov 2018 Self Upload of Documents: 3rd-5th Dec 2018 Appoin...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

I am so cross about this whole situation especially as a lot of people have applied since November and no sensible communication. I am considering starting a petition about the way the Home Office has been handling Super Priority Services especially since they partnered with Sopra Steria. I think So...

Re: New Appointment Centre UKVCAS

Hi AidenUK, No, I have not heard anything from them; not even an acknowledgement email. I called Sopra Steria Customer service on Saturday and they confirmed they had indeed submitted to Home Office on the 6th Dec which was the day of my appointment. Will update if i hear anything. Hope this helps....

Re: SET (Protection) PLEASE HELP

I believe the senior members of this forum can advise if it is the right form or not. I think you can only apply online now on Set P based on what the website is saying and no paper forms but do clarify please.

Re: New Appointment Centre UKVCAS

Hi SpouseOfSettler, Please find my responses below: 1. You say you scanned/uploaded all your documents but then they scanned your passport at the centre? Yes, I scanned all my documents at home including my passport (I only scanned the data page of my passport) and when I got there, they scanned my ...

Re: New Appointment Centre UKVCAS

I applied today at the Glasgow Sopra Steria (Super Priority Service; free appointment) and I did not pay for the document checking service however I had scanned/uploaded all my documents before my appointment. As far as I know, the Sopra Steria staff in Glasgow check all the scanned documents and al...
