By the time you'll have accrued 5 years, Permanent Residency will be phased out and the Settled Status system will be in place - so you'll need to apply for that. I would also like to add that I have been living with my mother since 2006 until 2017 who was a qualified person throughout that time (working) but Im not sure if thats of any relevance and whether I can apply for pr based on that. She doesnt hold a pr document though.
