Re: First time passport application

I have applied for first time Irish passport and it says I should get it around 26 March. They received all the documents (original naturalisation cert, original passport, copy of Public service card, 2 address proof, identity verification by Garda) from me on 4th March. It also says Passport Card ...

Has everyone who applied before March 2019 and after Dec 2018 received an approval? Or are there pending applications?

Re: Next citizenship ceremonies will be in Spring 2020

Thank you for all your responses. I contacted local TD to enquire on my behalf because information I am getting from INIS is ambiguous at best. I received this response: " Dear xxxxx Many thanks for your email. I brought your email to the attention of the relevant department, however, they have noti...

This topic is in the Ireland sub forum for Irish naturalisation, not sure if your advice is based on British citizenship by naturalisation, which obvs doesn't apply.
Ouops, sorry for that. My advice is based on British Citizenship. It doesn't stand for Irish citizenship.
Thank you anyway :)

Hi SouthAfricanNomad Can you please let me know when did you send your application? I've sent mine last August. The latest letter received was that my application have been moved to stage 2. Re: Next citizenship ceremonies will be in Spring 2020

I received this reply from team 23 :| in November. I wonder if it means anything at all about a guaranteed approval or when I should expect it.. but there will be at-least 3 ceremonies this year. “Thank you for your email, please be advised your application is at an advanced stage of processing, thi...

Citizenship refusal

Hi all.

I’m curious if anyone has ever heard for someone being refused on the basis of late tax returns? And if so, what was the background and conclusion of the matter?

And at which stage do refusals often occur. Have they ever occurred after advanced stage?

Thank you in advance

Citizenship Denial

Hi guys.

Does anyone know the stages at which an application can get denied and the possible reasons per stage

Eg
Stage 1 - obviously if don’t meet the requirements (length of residency etc)
Stage 2- criminal record etc
Advanced stage?

Have there ever been denials at this stage?

Many thanks

Ceremony 2020

Hi all.

I am in final stage. I assume it’s unlikely I make it to the next ceremony in December.

Just curious anyone know if there has ever been a ceremony earlier than April in previous years.

Thanks in solidarity.

Re: Teams and stages

I guess Im just trying to figure out if team 2 deals with stage 2, since we know that team 1 deals with the final step (ie approval). And whether having a reference number is an indication that your application has moved forward to stage 2. I'm not sure how knowing the teams helps anything... but I...
