tom_bcfc

I hope not! nearly 9 months for me & my doctor witnessed mine. I was told in January that all my documents were in order. That would be unfair after all this time.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

You will be disappointed if you are expecting your FBR cert when you had only applied in December.. sorry. It probably just a letter from your mother-in-law informing you that she is coming to live with you. Hahaha Michael - Glad to see you having a laugh & not cancelling your application. Hang in ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

I phoned today to be told they are approving a batch at the end of March and to call back beginning of April if I haven't received an email & told how busy and inundated with applications. (I applied June 2018).

In February I was told if I hadn't heard in 2 weeks to call back.

Not holding my breath.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Conflicting information about the email. Did the man you spoke with have a french accent? Thanks [/quote] Hi Michael...no this guy was Irish. Explained the new system and how they have taken on lots more staff too. They print the certificates themselves. Yes, he definitely said they send a "Congratu...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

I called the Dublin office Wednesday to get an update on my application (June 25th 2018). The guy was very helpful, surprised I was still waiting. Checked and said 90% sure it's all ok. Gone for approval but with the move & how many applications there's big delays. Said if I hadn't heard within 2 we...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

No doesn't make sense at all. I'm at 7 months now.
Was told all my documents were in order by email January. To be honest, I thought mine was relatively straight forward.
