Thanks mate. In SET (M) section 11 it asks for 6 letters or documents addressed to me and dependent jointly or separate letters but same address. They should cover 2 years. They should be from at least 3 different sources. Now does that mean 6 letters each from 3 sources or 2 each from each source. ...

Thanks ilrdep I presume you booked a SET(O) appointment in PEO. Did they allow you to be present as well for clarifications etc? Or will the PEO only allow my wife to get in? Secondly for proof - I see you have shown Council tax statements. I have Utility bills from the exact date but council tax bi...

well asked Nurul. even I am confused. So if a current tier 1 dependent can extend his/her visa even when the main applicant gets ILR and then completes 2 years and then goes for SET(O) then when is the English Language requirement actually needed? Btw I have taken the life in UK test which is mandat...

The applicant in such circumstances should use SET(O) form and not SET(M) to apply for settlement as and when eligible for settlement. Yes. Hi Sush. reviving this old thread. I read the statement of changes (huge documents) but unable to find the above. Can you kindly give a bit more pointers. Than...

Thanks SushdMehta I actually went through a sticky thread before where it mentioned that to be able to apply for SET(M) one has to apply FLR(M) first - for dependents of ILR migrants. However in the link you mention a) If the PBS dependant's current leave will expire after he/she has completed the q...

Thanks Sushdmehta. That was very useful. You are right. This is very much dependent on the case worker. I will send an email to UKBA and see if I can get anything in writing. Do you think if they confirm then a prinout of such an email would be ok? Else only option left is for for PEO in Dec or Jan ...

Hi guys I am in Tier 1 and will be eligible for ILR on Jan. My wife completes 2 years in the Uk as Tier 1 dependent on 7th April 2013. Am I right in saying that I can use just the SET(O) form on and after 10th March 2013, given the dated above for both myself and my wife for ILR? Basically I heard s...

Tried looking all forums and there are lot of confusing text all around. as per this http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/newsfragments/65-fam-set If you applied to come to the UK or for permission to stay here on or before 8 July 2012 and that permission was granted, you will need to be in...

Life in UK - difference between 2011 and 2012 editions

Hi friends
I have an upcoming Life in uk test and I had been using life in uk official book which was printed in 2011 though.
Just wondering has there been any differences in the 2011 and 2012 versions? I guess we are still in the 2nd edition of the book.

Can someone kindly confirm?
Thanks
