Re: Apply for passport abroad

Thank you obormot, the issue is that her ceremony is 2 weeks before our trip, and we are worried precisely about being December. If december is going to be more than 2 weeks then maybe we need to reconsider it. She is not EU, but I though it was possible to apply for a 1st passport abroad? So she re...

Apply for passport abroad

Hi all,

My wife has been granted citizenship but we had a trip planned abroad with a duration of a couple of months (I work remotely and currently as a posted worker).

Will it be a problem applying for the first passport abroad? Or is it recommended to do it within the UK?

Thanks,

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hi, When applying as Spouse of BC, with the new system, do you need the original of the British citizen certificate? I want to use it for the Passport (requires original) but I don't know if my wife will need it for the application. Also, is there any problem if she leaves for a few months - a mont...

Re: Experiences using new UKVCAS for naturalisation/citizenship applications

Good afternoon. Do I need to send the documents somewhere after the UKVCAS? I saw some people in the "timeline" of naturalisation stating when they sent the documents after the biometrics with the online form. My "Further actions - current step" hasn't change yet, but I only did the UKVCAS biometric...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Thanks for the reply Nerazurri, I am an EEA citizen with 1 year of EU permanent residency, for which I did not need a test. Is that ref number for the B1 English Test? Why don't you have the pass letter? Then send it to UKVI, quoting your reference number, keep a copy of your letter, send by signed...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Re: Experiences using new UKVCAS for naturalisation/citizenship applications

I've only just had my appointment at UKVCAS yesterday, so thought I'd share the experience of that. I'll add a timeline to the appropriate thread once I get to the end of the process. I became eligible to apply January 21st, and did so straight away. I didn't need any extra services and had a prefe...

Re: Wrong Referees

Hi skyscraper, good to know that I am not the only one confused.

I used the same manager for my daughter first passport but I am not sure if here they are more strict.

Also I am surprised that in the only form they ask for 2 referees , and then they ask you to get the picture signed by 2 referees.

Supporting documents - Language test not listed

Hello, Apologies for open a second topic, but I guessed it would be better to open a new topic, in case more people experience it. I just realised that in the list of supported documents, the Life in the UK Test pass notification, however there is no mention for the Language test requirement (https:...

Wrong Referees

Hello, I could not find my previous account, so I had to make a brand new one. A quick question, in the online form, as a second referee I have put the details of my manager, so in the description he has put "Engineering Manager". Is this an accepted referee? Looking at this list: https://www.gov.im...
