Citizenship and previous Section 3C

Hi all, I am currently holding an ILR, technically I could apply for UK citizenship in 9 months. Given that all other requirements are satisfied, could being covered under Section 3C at some point in the past 10 years (and more than 5 years ago) be an issue when applying for citizenship? My ILR rout...

Re: Ambiguous Super Priority Notification email!

It says
"We can't show your record
You will need to prove your right to work by showing an employer your identity document – your EU passport or national identity card, or biometric residence document"

That sounds like bad news!

Ambiguous Super Priority Notification email!

A day after super priority appointment, I received the following email: "I’m pleased to confirm that your application for leave has now been decided. You will receive your decision letter in due course. Thank you for using our super priority service. Kind Regards" Anyone has an idea what would that ...

Re: ILR, other reasons to stay!

I am not trying to debate religion either. But don't you see the irony here when you say "anyone can be a Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Chritsian but not necessarily a practicing one", and "please do not stereotype all Muslims as being pushed to “practice” or being intolerant of other beliefs and do not port...

Re: ILR, other reasons to stay!

Not sure if I get what you're saying! I am not practising Islam because I no longer believe in it, or in any other religion for that matter, not because I feel lazy to be a muslim or practice Islam. Or should I just carry on pretending my whole life that I am a muslim! Name on country where Islam is...

Re: ILR, other reasons to stay!

Thanks again for your reply. You are right. I think mentioning it might just inadvertently complicates things. On a side note, just being an atheist, or more specifically a leaver of Islam, on its own in a Muslim country could be life threatening. It is not something one can hide, one has to practis...

Re: ILR, other reasons to stay!

Thanks for your reply. No it isn't via the refugee route. It is via the 10 years long residence Tier 4 then Tier 2. For the past almost 10 years I have built a career in the UK and made a living so indeed my life is centred here. I of course respect the religious or irreligious choices of all people...

ILR, other reasons to stay!

Hi Gurus, In the ILR application, should I mention the fact that I am an atheist (ex-muslim), in the Other reasons to stay in the UK section? Not that I have a specific past threat if I go back to my home country (where Islam is the only religion), but in the UK I live in peace and with peace of min...

Re: ILR inquiry

Hi again, In the ILR application the UKVI asks for Home Office reference numbers from previous application. How many reference numbers should be given? The latest one, or all of the previous ones? If the latter case is true, would it be an issue if one reference number is not given? Many of thanks a...

ILR inquiry

Hi, I have a question regarding the ILR via the 10 years long residency route which I am intending to apply for with the next two months, I hope someone would help me answer my question as I am quite confused, and scared truth be told. Please bear with me, I came to the UK as a PhD student on a Tier...
