Re: EU Settlement Scheme Family permit and right to work

Yes that makes sense! But there is no point to try to make a case to the employer that I do have the right to work if I do not have it. And if I do have this right, proving that will be worth the effort for them and me. So how can I know if I do have the right to work in the first place ? Employer ...

but also that you were dependent on your uncle for meeting your basic needs, is fairly important. That point is essential. Just to help you understand it, my brother gets about £10000/year money transfers from my uncle who is an EEA national. The reasons for these payments is that my uncle is build...

You can get marry in Poland, as you are non-polish citizen, they would book you the date after 28 days of registering. Northern Ireland is part of the UK!!!
For now yes, but it is not part I guess, it is like partnership as named United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, that is why I was not %100 sure about exact rules for overseas.

And I guess it is not also certain after Brexit?

EU settlement card - work and live in Northern Ireland

Hi all,

As non-eu with eu settlement residency, such person is allowed to take up job or live in Belfast? And in the future for permanent residency or ILR, how does it work, lets say you live 3 years in the UK and moved to Belfast and lived 2 years more and in total 5 years so can get ILR?

Thank you

It seems like OP is trying to bring all her family, friends, uncles, aunties, cousins to the UK using the rights of EEA person. Does not seem right thing to do.

Re: Retained right of stay and pre settled status

Rule EU 14 (1)(a)(iii) of the Immigration Rules does provide for grant of Leave to Remain for applicant who qualifies for a retained right of Residence. The point you are making clearly does not add up. It has the potential of confusing applicants, who are clearly entitled to apply for a pre-settle...

Re: Retained right of stay and pre settled status

So is it better to apply for another pre settled under retained right of stay ? Or apply for retained right of stay under EU law ? Re: Retained right of stay and pre settled status

To summarize, ROR status is only for those persons come from EEA route, Before changes it was very simplified like no sponsor's ID required, no financial conditions to met etc. But after changes, in order to get ROR status, sponsor ID became mandatory again. This part of yours giving me a great dea...

Once they divorce, they may retain a right of residence if the substantive requirements are met. Re: Retained right of stay and pre settled status

I do not understand the last post at all. There are clear provisions for a person who retained rights of residence to qualify for pre settled status. Re: Retained right of stay and pre settled status

It seems like you can only apply to get ROR under EEA residency and in the future there will not be any path for only pre-settled status-card holders for family members of an EEA. So it means, if you only hold pre-settled status and the marriage is over, non-eu family member has no path to recover a...
