Re:

Amber_, can you please point me to the site where the UKBA says one can provide a letter from the awarding institution instead? I can't seem to find it in the guidance note. Thanks NARIC do not offer another certificate for overseas Masters. If the degree is awarded 30 (qualification) and 10 (Englis...

Re: Naturalisation - New rule, KoL & Life in UK Test

Did the Home Office not respond to your 5th question? I clearly remember that when I took my Life in the UK test, it mentioned that it also shows one's knowledge of English. How can they introduce a new requirement is just annoying especially for professionals. These English tests are an insult!

I am in the same situation. I applied for my son using MN1. I received acknowledgement confirmation letter but said that I paid the wrong fee (old fee although I checked on 11 April and there was no new fee announced). I sent the payment slip with the additional payment but it's been 2 weeks and the...

I suggest you mention also the description of the SOC code like I did not just the number so it is clear. If you can paste employer letter format here it would be of great help for upcoming applicant. It is basically what I said above. I also added that I am still required by the company as this wa...

Congratulations. Thank you for sharing your experience. How would you rate Cardiff PEO. Documents were requested specifically by CW,or you handed over. I handed over my documents. I didn't even get to meet the CW. Just the man who received the docs and processes payment, another man who took our bi...

ILR Success 12th Apr Cardiff PEO

Hello I just want to share my experience applying for ILR for me and 2 dependants at the Cardiff PEO. Our appointment is at 11:30am. We parked on the road just behind the PEO where long stay up to 9pm is £4. We arrived at the PEO at around 11:10am. We were given a card with a letter and somebody cal...

I thought BOX 3 is your salary rather than the SOC salary threshold because they would want to know how much your salary. They already know what the threshold is given the SOC code provided. Similarly for the no. of hours, they want to know for how many hours your salary was based on because one may...

Reading the guidance again, question 2.1 is only applicable to children born outside the UK so this is not applicable to us and will not be filling this out. However, I'm not sure whether 2.2 onwards should still be filled esp that my son travelled outside the UK. If so, then does that mean I need t...

MN1 Form Born in the UK but with LTR

Hi Would appreciate your help. I'm filling in the MN1 Form for my son who is born in the UK. We will submit the form soon after us parents get our ILR. My son has a Leave to Remain visa. My question is regarding question 2.1 2.1 If the child is resident in the United Kingdom or a British overseas te...

Finally been able to book an appointment with 2 dependents. Sunday to Tuesday had been very difficult as cannot even log on from 10pm to 1am. I heard others were able to get appointments at 2am.

Wednesday, I was lucky enough to get an appointment at 12am.

I dont think so because a lot of people have done applying by PEO for main applicant and by post for dependants which would mean there is a time difference in their applications and dependants visas not considered void.

Comments on the FAQ

I know sushdmehta said no comments in this post but would like to point out that Q4 is not entirely correct for overseas applications. If date of entry is delayed by less than 90 days, one can apply 28 days before expiry date instead of anniversary of entry date.
