Passport for British child by descent?

Sorry I wasn’t sure which board to post in, whether this one or the British citizenship. I had a family friend visit me today asking for help to fill a form in. In summary he has a British citizenship and married abroad 4 years ago. He has two children in Pakistan and his wife also in Pakistan. He w...

New family visa thresholds

Hello Hope your evenings are going well. Does anyone know whether the new £38k spouse visa threshold and IHS will apply to those currently on the spouse visa route? Specifically my husband will be due his ILR in 2025 so will it be the old £18k rule or new £38k? Or… Has this level of detail not been ...

EU route still open?

Hello

can someone tell me if the EU route to re settle is still open? We have a friend living in Ireland with an Irish passport who’s been advised they are able to migrate to the UK and then call their non EU family member over. I thought this has now finished with Brexit and the deadline passing?

He would need a Schengen visa yes if he goes through immigration in an EU country. His spouse visa doesn't give him any concessions etc as it is only relevant to the UK.

Going through Immigration is exiting/entering a country.
Ab okay understood. Thank you!

BRP / Spouse visa, holidays?

Hi there My husband is on FLR M and we’re looking to book a holiday. Some flights are not direct and have a connection. I wanted to know if my husband would need a visa in the connecting country as well? For example, we’re looking at Morocco. There’s a good flight deal but with a connection in Portu...

Re: Changing address on FLR M application?

Just wanted to share that my spouse recieved his FLR M approval today, which is great news. I wondered if anyone knew though if we are eligible to claim a refund from the HO for delayed super priority service? We paid £800 and submitted Biometrics on Sunday 13, a decision would have been due yesterd...

Changing address on FLR M application?

We’ve submitted my spouse’s FLR M application and due to give fingerprints on Sunday. In between submitting the application and biometrics, we’ve moved into our new mortgaged home. The application address is our old one which I am still the owner of and have access to. It’s however rented. We have n...

Re: FLR M application - cohabitation evidence

Thanks for the advice so far. I have another question related to bills specifically. One utility bill has 3-4 pages. Do I need to scan/ attach all pages or is it enough to scan the first page which shows the name & address? If I do this, there is a header at the top that says 1 or 3/4/6 pages so wil...

Re: FLR M application - cohabitation evidence

Cohabitation documents to cover last 2 years counting from the month you want to make the application backwards spaced 3-4months apart. Can we use the same source documents? Eg utility bills every few months. The reason I ask is because as mentioned, we don’t have many subscriptions or debits betwe...

Re: FLR M application - cohabitation evidence

Following on from the previous posts,I actually panicked for no reason because I do have bills from that period - I can't view online but CxS will post. Do you mind looking at my document list I've pulled together for the cohabitation evidence (minus the bank statements as they'll go towards the fin...

FLR M application - cohabitation evidence

Hi We’re now beginning the process of applying for FLR M. Our solicitor has sent us a note today asking us to compile evidence from Oct 2020 to now, evidencing that we have cohabited together. Such as utility bills, HMRC polling card insurance letters and so on. I’m slightly worried because my husba...

Re: Question about EU dependent migration in 2019

Am I therefore right in understanding that given the recent changes with brexit etc and despite of my aunt coming over as a dependent, that she now has to follow the same rules of a spousal visa (I know this because I did it for my husband) and satisfy all requirements of salary, r/ship, accommodat...

Re: Question about EU dependent migration in 2019

Has your aunt applied for and received pre-settled status? Keep in mind that that would not have been automatic, but would have to be applied for and received in 2020-2021. How old is your aunt? - Can she call her husband over after her 5 year stay & on what basis? She can call her husband over eit...

Re: Spouse visa but stopped at UK border?

I’m guessing SAR is the only way to access this information, no customer services number or anything like so? Customer service personnel are outsourced and most likely will be an effort in futility or long delays with no one providing you pertinent information. With SAR you will see details of what...

Spouse visa but stopped at UK border?

Hi, this is a slightly lengthy issue so please bear with. My husband has a UK spouse visa due to expire October 2022 for which we are to apply FLR (M). On Saturday, we returned from holiday and my husband was stopped at the entry point by the UK border agency. The lady was about to let him through w...

EU holiday on a spouse visa?

Hi guys I seem to always venture back to this board for those who hold the fountains of knowledge! My husband is on a spouse visa & we’re looking to go on an EU holiday in March. His 2.5 years visa expires in September so we have enough time. My research suggests he needs a Schengen visa. However my...

Re: Spouse Visa Documents

I'm afraid if they got married only this year his wife is not eligible for the Settlement Scheme, as the family relationship needs to have started before December 31st 2020. She needs to apply through the spouse visa, not the Settlement Scheme. So I'm not sure if this answers your original question...
