Re: Mismatch between date of stamp in passport and date of issue on GNIB card & Stamps during Covid

Hi, We live in Limerick & went to the Garda Immigration Office to renew the Stamp in March 2020 (just before the lockdown started). We were told that Passport will be Stamped when the IRP Card arrives, but then the lockdown started. The IRP Card however surprisingly arrived by Post later, but we cou...

Re: Mismatch between date of stamp in passport and date of issue on GNIB card & Stamps during Covid

Hi, I also have a couple of queries for my Wife's Naturalisation Application, similar to situation mentioned (Covid-related mismatch between Stamp in Passport and Issue date of IRP Card). 1. Second-last Stamp in Passport: 11/04/2017 - 01/04/2020 Latest IRP Card issue date (Pre-Covid lockdown): 03/03...

Re: Naturalisation Queries

Thanks Guys for replying. I am still not sure what to do, as i have been getting similar mixed replies from friends as well (Is she eligible to apply now or not?). The exact wording from Form 8 is: "Note, you must be married / in a civil partnership to the Irish citizen for not less than 3 years, an...

Anybody with recent experience? 2. Just want to confirm this: I am an Irish citizen now & my wife is living c...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

I emailed them & also got the same reply "Your application continues to be processed". Its so frustrating as people who applied even in 2019, are getting approval/invitation letters. I applied in January 2017 & still waiting. Does anybody on the forum here, has any advice for all of us?

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

Same here with me. Applied in January 2017, was told that my application is being prepared to be submitted to the Minister in late 2018; but nothing happened since then. I emailed them again a couple of weeks ago, but no reply yet.

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

On what bases you have applied for your citizenship ? work / marriage etc.... ?
[/quote]

On the basis of 5-year stay/work. I will be 8-year resident in Ireland in a few months' time.
